Warnings: none
You loved the way your boyfriend, Robert ‘Bob’ Floyd smelled.
It wasn't love to a weird amount, you didn't sniff him any chance you got or anything, but you cherished the way his scent enveloped you whenever he was around.
It felt like all your anxieties left your body and you could just breathe with him.
Mostly that happened when Bob came home from work, because he worked longer hours and got up earlier than you did for work.
While you tried your best to distribute household work evenly between you you were stuck with the laundry most of the time, which you had gotten accustomed to.
You had even gotten good at washing Bob’s uniforms, which had taken some time to figure out.
Bob usually switched between several identical uniforms so you got one of the same ones for the laundry each evening, ones that smelled so much like him that you were almost happy to receive them.
When Bob went away for work one day in spring you had miraculously gotten a day off, which translated to spring cleaning in your book.
After vacuuming and cleaning what felt like your entire house your eyes went through your window to your front yard.
It wasn't a mess but you had been neglecting your beautiful plants, so an idea struck you.
While you had been wearing a specific pair of clothes that you usually wore that could get dirty they were sweaty from all the house work, and it was too chilly outside to go out there without a risk of a cold.
After going through your wardrobe and not finding any clothes that could be dirtied like that you settled in the laundry room, finding Bob’s flight suit in the laundry basket.
He had given it to you to clean, but you really wondered whether you could use it for your gardening adventure as well.
The moment you took it in your hands Bob’s scent enveloped you, which to you sealed the deal.
You slipped out of your clothes and into his work uniform, zipping it up to get to work.
It wasn't entirely a good look for you, it was baggy in some places while others filled out pretty well, but it was comfortable and the perfect outfit for a little gardening work.
Time flew by as you tended to your favorite flowers and shrubs, until the sun was already going down.
You were just putting your tools away and dusting off your clothes at the knees when you heard a car stopping in front of the garage.
Turning, you found Bob stepping out of the car, a smile on his face the moment he laid eyes on you.
You returned it wholeheartedly and moved to hug him, pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
Bob wrapped his arms around you on instinct and he kept you pressed against him, his face lowering to your height.
“What are you wearing, baby?” He asked you, and you had to look down to see what he was talking about.
Amusement rushed over you and you felt heat rise to your cheeks, realizing that you hadn't managed to change before he got home.
“I’m sorry, I was gardening and had nothing to wear”, you blushed, but Bob simply kept looking at you, his eyes raking over your body as he held you at arm’s length.
The heat in your cheeks got impossibly warmer as Bob kept wordlessly staring at you.
His cheeks and the tips of his ears turned a beautiful pink and he couldn't find words to describe what he was feeling.
The tip of his tongue darted out to wet his lips and you saw his eyebrows knit together behind his glasses before he knew what to say.
“You’ll be wearing that again”, he ordered but it sounded more like a plea.
You chuckled and pecked his lips before nodding, turning to get back into the house with Bob eagerly following suit.
Ommggg Sooooppphhh I've been out of it for soooo long but I miss you sooo much ommggg 🩷🩷🩷 I'd love something with Bob, if you're still taking requests 🩷🩷 either spicy or sweet, I'd absolutely love it, I miss him soooo much
Haha Masumi,
I missed you all so much as well!!! 💛✨
I really really want to start picking up pace on here again, so the request is very much appreciated!!
I'll think of something, and I recently had an idea for a setting in which I can see all of the aviators?
I might just write that as well, as a little comparison?

It is a Robert ‘Bob’ Floyd x pregnant!wife!reader imagine.
Warnings: babies born a week prematurely (they're fine), mentions of pain after birth, this is only proofread by me
Being as pregnant as you were, it was difficult for you to let Bob go on the mission he was sent on.
Bob had done all he could to try to stay home for you, but the Navy didn't really care, because it wasn't Bob himself that was pregnant.
Your due date wasn't until after the mission was supposed to end and so you persuaded Bob to go, who did so with a heavy heart.
If anything, Bob wanted to be the perfect husband, and taking care of his wife during pregnancy, especially during the third trimester, was incredibly important for him.
When Bob left it was actually a very hard time for you, with everyday work and your worrying for Bob, but more so because you were having twins.
Twin boys, which sometimes felt like they were already running around and play-fighting in your stomach.
You were exhausted with work and worrying every day, and almost everyone you knew was gone on the same mission Bob was as well.
When the babies came, they were one and a half weeks too early, and there was no way you could reach your husband.
Your babies were fine, you had them checked out thoroughly at the hospital, but you had been scared for your husband as well as your sons.
As cliche as it sounded your babies were the most beautiful ones you had ever seen, and you cried tears of joy as well as sadness, because Bob had missed such an important day.
Without complications you got to go home a day before Bob returned, and you took the time to prepare.
Finding out how to hold your twins in a wrap at the same time without help was tough too, not to mention how you felt down there.
You were tired and in pain, but you were sure it would get better the moment Bob wrapped his arms around you.
Bradley, who hadn't been chosen for the mission for once, had come to get you from the hospital and he drove you to the base to greet Bob as well, making sure you were well taken care of in Bob's absence.
It was usual that you were emotional but you almost cried when you entered the base, only a minute away from seeing your husband again.
You had missed him terribly and while everything turned out well you had been terrified all on your own.
There weren't too many people waiting for their loved ones this time, so when Jake, who was the first one, came towards you he let out a happy yell of surprise.
Behind him Nat’s eyes went wide and her hand flew to her mouth to cover the broad smile she was wearing.
You had felt like a formless, exhausted mess, but when your eyes met Bob’s, you were suddenly once again grateful for everything you had in life.
Bob was in front of you in the blink of an eye and his eyes roamed your body, from your face down to where your babies were cradled against your chest in the wrap you had managed to make.
He was speechless, but the relief you felt more than made up for it as he wiped away the tears that were falling from your eyes.
“They came eleven days early. They're fine, we’re fine”, you exclaimed, trying to convince yourself as well as Bob.
Bob leaned over to kiss you and you felt his tears on your cheeks as well.
When you pulled apart Bob leaned over to take a look at your babies, cradling each of their heads in his hands and ghosting kisses onto both their little bald heads.
“I’m so sorry I missed this. I missed you so much”, he repeated, until your friends came to surround you.
That evening was for you and Bob, but the next one you celebrate with your friends who had returned.
It was also the evening almost no eyes were kept dry, as Bradley, Jake, Nat and Nat’s wife were asked to be the godparents of your babies.

It is a Robert 'Bob' Floyd x female!Kazansky!reader imagine.
Warnings: mentions of Ice's health, suggestive content, this isn't proofread by anyone else but me
As the daughter of Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky you had been told very early on that you were not to ever start a relationship with an aviator.
Your dad had gone on and on about how bad Navy men were, which was ironic, you found, given that he himself was one.
You had managed long enough, but one day your work brought your right to the lions' den.
San Diego was alright, you guessed, and moving back into your parents' place wasn't your plan.
But there was an opening as a writer at the San Diego Union-Tribune, which was an opportunity you simply couldn't pass up.
While in the past you didn't care for the Hard Deck your father had asked you there for a beer.
Your dad didn't stay long because of his health but Penny offered to drive you home so the two of you could catch up.
Penny was a dear friend of the family and you considered her a bit of an older sister as well.
She had taken you dancing and lent you high heels when your parents didn't allow you to yet, and she had taught you how to hold your liquor.
Penny was the only reason you stayed but you enjoyed how busy the bar was, standing at the counter to talk to her whenever she was free.
You saw a lot of Navy men that were proud and rather drunk, but there were others that seemed alright.
Every once in a while one macho or the other came to try to hit on you, but you were strong and independent enough to shut them down fast.
A few hours went by until a seemingly shy bespectacled man in a khaki uniform came to stand beside you.
He was fidgeting with an empty beer glass as he leaned over the counter, trying to catch Penny's attention.
You looked at the man beside you with curiosity but he didn't quite find the courage to meet your gaze, the tips of his ears flashing red as he noticed your attention.
"Another beer, please, Penny", he said as soon as she looked at him and before you could blink Penny set a glass in front of him with one of her signature smiles.
"There you go, Bob", she said before she rushed along and you took another moment to look at him.
You didn't quite know what it was that fascinated you about Bob, but the way his lean yet strong fingers wrapped around the base of the glass which such deliberate care had the hair on the back of your neck stand up in anticipation.
Not that you expected anything from Bob, yet.
From where you were standing the Wings of Gold were gleaming on the left side of his chest.
"You're an aviator, aren't you?" You asked gently and Bob's eyes met yours for the first time that evening.
His eyes gleamed in a gentle blue behind his glasses and his adam's apple bobbed nervously as he nodded, keeping eye contact with you.
"Yes, ma'am", he replied, and a smirk appeared on your lips at the form of address.
You introduced yourself with a handshake, purposely using your last name as well to see how Bob would react.
Now his cheeks as well as his ears were an endearing shade of pink and his eyebrows furrowed for just a second as he realised who he was talking to.
"Robert 'Bob' Floyd, it's a pleasure", he replied hurriedly, and you had to hold onto yourself to not reply with a 'hopefully it will be'.
"Are you here with anyone, Bob?" You asked, and while his eyes darted to where you guessed his friends were standing he wisely shook his head.
The rest of the night the two of you spent talking to each other.
Penny was entirely gone from your mind as the evening came to an end, and Bob spent the night in your childhood bedroom with you, leaving early enough to not accidentally run into his superior.
He left very early, but not without your number in his phone.
You didn't want to admit it to yourself, but Bob wasn't only the best you had ever had, he was also a wonderful person.
You saw Bob almost daily and in secret you started dating.
Bob was as serious about you as a heart attack, which seemed intense to you.
Your past boyfriends never really showed their intentions, if they were ever serious about you, but Bob was very clear in his need to be with you, but with your dad as Admiral and your dad's ban of dating aviators you had to tread carefully.
But despite your best efforts, Iceman knew that you were keeping something from him.
It was in the subtle smile you wore when saying goodbye and leaving the house, in the way you kept your phone so close to reply to messages so quickly and the happiness you radiated.
While you used to not care about his work you now actively helped him if he needed anything, which confirmed Ice's suspicions.
Tom Kazansky could only pray that his daughter wasn't with a man like Bradshaw or Seresin.
One evening Bob drove you home and brought you to the door like he usually did.
Normally, your dad was in his study by then and your mother was making dinner, which offered a perfect moment to see you off.
You felt sure enough about your parents' whereabouts to turn around again.
"Kiss me goodbye?" You more than asked Bob, who melted into the embrace you initiated.
Your hands were in his hair and placed on his chest while his were wrapped around your waist when the front door opened.
You pulled away slowly and turned around to find your dad looking at the two of you with an unreadable expression on his face.
There was an uncomfortable silence as Tom Kazansky took out his phone and typed away at it.
A chuckle left his lips before you heard his phone's AI's voice.
"I didn't see that one coming. You chose a good one after all", he grinned at you, leaving you baffled and Bob once again turning red.
“Half of the front seat pilots are now non-human. They’re the ones (the pilots) who are sat at the front. They are statistically more likely to suffer from severe injuries or die first, in comparison to the back seater. We here at Nurture Corp have cut death rates in the Navy by almost half, in the last five years alone.” - Nurture Corp Spokesperson.
Bob was your first backseater. You were Bob’s first front seater and the first engineered pilot he had ever flown with. Due to his deep wealth of knowledge and his ability to build a rocket ship from scratch, if asked, you were assigned to him. He has never encountered one of you before, not since Nurture Corp was contracted to the Navy. You have been designed and built for one thing only, but to appease the new world aspect of “robotic pilots” (‘Rob Planes’ for short), human connection was hardwired into you. You are here to reassure pilots that when your plane crashes, you will feel nothing, so let you go down with it and spare the backseater's life.
But is your meticulous convincing even enough? Can Bob see something else deep inside of your wiring? Would Bob protect you first?
