Right back down to earth..
I guess that's what you get for dreaming?
You begin to dream, because just for a change, things have finally started going the way you want them to, and then within the blink of an eye, you get put straight back into normality.
On Monday, it seemed things were finally starting to look up, like things were finally beginning to improve for us; We made 4 new promising permanent signings, we'd made a 5th by Tuesday, we impressively beat Tavistock AFC - kept a clean sheet and the team performance as a whole was incredible - and we were linked with several other promising team players..
Wednesday morning comes around, and all that dreaming you had done the previous two days before, was all for absolutely nothing.
You wake up to the news that yet again, one of your best players has been sold.. yet again to Norwich! I make that three now (Johnson, Howson and now Snodgrass)!!
The thing that is worse about Snoddy leaving to Norwich is not that he's the third player of ours to go there, but the fact he said that he would stay should he see some promise in our attempts to rebuild a squad strong enough to compete for the title this upcoming season - that being should the apparent 'TakeOver' nears a conclusion.
The fact Snoddy is leaving, does that mean that the 'TakeOver' is no longer happening? Does that mean that all this news about the Middle Eastern Groups that were supposedly pricing up a bid to buy Leeds United were all nothing but trash talk?
This is clearly why you shouldn't dream. Why you shouldn't think too far forward.
I think us Leeds fans have just been brought right back down to earth!
