The sun was out and Lila had decided to take total advantage of the situation. Rather than going to the gym or dance studio, she was doing some tumbling and dancing across the open space of grass at the park. She had her AirPods in her ears and honestly was paying no attention. She missed the landing of a backflip and stumbled backwards, surprised when she collided with someone. She nearly gasped and pulled away quickly, reaching out to put her hands on his shoulders. “Oh. My. God. I am so sorry.”

Audrey had been driving around for nearly a hour. She was finding that she was very bored and the loft was lonely. She pulled up in front of Robert’s and leaned over to dig in her purse for her phone. She glanced to the door, trying to decipher if he was awake. It wasn’t that late. It was only eight. Surely he wasn’t that bloody old. She typed a quick text message before laying her head back and waiting. 

I’m bored and lonely. Come outside. Let’s go for a drive, or see a movie -- something.

It was around four o’clock and Delia was still sitting at her desk, reading through essays. She sighed a bit, glancing at the clock. She was so not going to stay here all night. She moved to get up but when she did a wave of nausea hit her and she went running down the hall and into the bathroom. She had just barely made it before the first wave of vomit had come out. The current treatment was not settling with her stomach. She sighed a bit as she flushed the toilet, washed her hands, and stepped out of the bathroom wiping at the corners of her mouth. “Oh... hey... Mr. Henderson...” She said softly as she nearly collided with him at the water fountain.

Lila was standing at the counter at the Coffee Bean waiting for her drink. She was focused on her phone. She sighed a bit. Her dad wanted to meet her for lunch, but she certainly didn’t want to do that. She looked up as she tried to think of a reason not to go. That was when she saw Robert’s back. She gave a small smile and looked down at her phone to send a quick text. Can’t, sorry, gotta a date. It wasn’t entirely a truth, but hopefully she could make it a truth. She hit the send button before tucking her phone in her pocket and walking up behind him. She covered his eyes and leaned against him slightly. “Guess who...” She teased.

“I have a fear of the Haunted House, but I would love to walk through it. What do you say, Headmaster? Protect me through it...?”

Audrey walked up to the front door and reached up to knock. She had a bag of junk food, a bottle of wine, and a couple movies. When the door opened, she held the bag up. “I believe I owe you a movie night...”

“This is not how I intended on spending like our sixth... tenth... date?” She gave a tiny smile, sitting on the bed. She was absolutely ready to get out of this place. She had signed the discharge papers and now it was probably going to be another twenty minutes before they actually let her walk out. “You are amazing though...”

“I think we have handed out to the last group of kids.” Delia smiled gently. “So, how about we now celebrate Halloween for ourselves and crack open a bottle of wine?”
