'feeling sad and guilty that I still haven't written chapter 2 of the short story I started for Halloween 2025 (life's been busy, but I swear on the Supreme Being I'll finish it) but trying to write a believable siblings dynamic between Charlotte Robespierre, Augustin and Maximilien, cause the only other fictional example I have is Marge Piercy's City of darkness, city of light (1996) in which her brothers deeply dislike her and in the case of Maximilien are even slightly afraid fo her

A litter of kittens always reminds me of Robespierre siblings.
Charlotte: I don't see why they think he'll marry her. It's not like he's being a Céladon.
Bonbon: Indeed, I think I qualify the most as a Céladon. Bonbon the Céladon, they could call me.
Charlotte: A Céladon is loyal and platonic, Bonbon.
Bonbon: I can be loyal, with the right person! But I won't ever be platonic.
Charlotte: My point being, Bonbon...
Bonbon: And I'm sure Maximilien is only half a Céladon! Their little private book club sounds like a cover story if you ask me.
