His fair assassin - Robin LaFevers
Well hello there, where did this series come from that Iāve heard so little about it? It was awesome, so where is the hype? Oh well, I guess Iāve either missed it somehow or Iāll just have to start it myself. I loved this series, a historical fantasy with assassins? Whatās not to love? Each of the three books is told in a different perspective and I loved it because they carried on with the main arc of the series throughout the books but they also NEATLY TIED OFF EACH PERSONAL ARC AT THE END OF EACH BOOK. Thankyou!! Gosh I hate mpv series that donāt finish a personal arc before switching to someone elseās point of view. And the personal arcs were awesome in this trilogy. Three girls falling in love and trying to discover who they really are and what they really want. Iām here for it. Yes maybe it was a bit predictable and maybe there were some problems but I liked it anyway. I loved it. I loved the characters (although they did all feel very similar to each other and there wasnāt a whole lot of variation in personalities) and I loved the journey. Also according to goodreads there will be two more books coming in 2019! That doesnāt mean you should wait till then to read as this series wraps up nicely and that will be a seperate duology set in the same world following the same people <3
Who I recommend this book to: lovers of romance and a good underdog war story
I give it 4/5 roses š¹ I really enjoyed it
Why be the sheep when you can be the wolf
Robin LaFevers. Grave Mercy
HEY GANG
I could use a hand if any of you guys have a second to shoot me a recommendation.
I just finished the latest of Robin LaFever's books, Dark Triumph, which is a sequel of sorts to Grave Mercy. I'm absolutely hooked, and also a huge huge huge fan of Tamora Pierce's novels, particularly the two 'Trickster's books and the Beka Cooper Trilogy. I really dig the kind of medieval knights and dukes and baron stories that focus largely on the politics, have a female lead, and feature a romantic plot (BUT IS NOT THE MAIN FOCUS. Both Pierce and LaFever did a great job of this, I thought.)Ā
I KNOOOW that's super picky but that's why I'm asking you guys for help because none of the searches on my Nook are detailed enough :')
Thanks!

Waiting On Wednesday - "Dark Triumph" & "Own the Wind"
For the Young Adult side of things, I absolutely cannot wait for Dark Triumph. This will be the second book in Robin LaFevers His Fair Assassins series, and the first book, Grave Mercy, was one of my favorite reads of 2012. It was so refreshing and I loved the whole premise of the story. Robin executed everything perfectly; the plot, the world, the characters, and especially the romance. I have high hopes that Dark Triumph will live up to my expectations, and I have a feeling it will.

Next is Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley. This is her first book in the Chaos series, which is a spinoff of her Dream Man series. I fell in love with Kristen's books last year, and I have read around 15 of her titles within the last 8 months. She writes great romance novels, and the guys are always hardcore bad boys. I can't wait to read Own the Wind and see how Tabby and Shy's story plays out.
