The little bird in the tree
@robinfelldown
Edmund had made an escape from the castle again. He had grabbed his hidden clothes with him -- a pair of dark green linen pants with a cream white linen shirt -- and had headed out the lute on his back. Luckily during the years Edmund had found a certain route out of his sleeping chambers and to his hidden favorite spot in the nearby forest -- no one would be able to spot him on his way out if he was careful enough. Plus he had hidden his linen clothes well under his shirt -- on the backside so the lute was pretty much hiding the weird lump on his back. Luckily no one paid attention to the composer on his way out and once Edmund had reached his favorite spot in the forest, a peaceful part with a tiny pond and Edmund’s favorite oak tree right by the pond he couldn’t help but smile. This really was such a peaceful place to be.
The fae changed his clothes quickly, enjoyed the feeling of tamed colors and simple linen against his skin and right away he felt more at home in his own skin. He opened his hair that had been in a tight bun on the back of his head, ruffled them around a bit letting the curls fly everywhere and then he sat down by the oak tree. He leaned his back on the trunk, picked up his lute and just started to play. He wasn’t really playing anything existing, he was just playing for the enjoyment of playing and calmness and peace around him.
