It’s hard not to still herself when she recognize his voice, hair on the back of her neck prickling, skin rising into goosebumps. When Darcy had heard the crumble of whatever the hell it is on rooftops below feet, she hadn’t expected him - who it could have been, up there on that roof, she isn’t sure, but she sure as hell hadn’t expected him.

Even in the dark, with the night sky above them overcast, the red stands bright.

“Wh-”  Her voice falls her, a soft whisper of a sound that was in no part a word on it’s on. Swallowing felt like a razor, but calms her enough that she can uncurl her tongue.

“Why would you want to? That song’s like seven minutes long.”

I love him more than I love anyone, in any capacity. My heart will always go doki doki for this pretentious fucker, okay. He is, at this point, my longest-held friend. Because I’ve only recently, in the past few years, learned how to appropriately socialize with people. All those things most normal people learn as a child and in middle school? Nah, man. I didn’t talk to people outside a small group of fucked up people, so I didn’t learn how to be a normal person and interact with people in a non-manipulative/fucked up way until like two years ago.

(I’m still not perfect and I’m still learning)

And Blake has fucking sat there through it all, like a fucking champ (probably because I was years behind in this development and he is years younger than I am, so we were kind of like…even-ish.)

And I fucking love him for it.

But, dude, is he fucking pretentious. BUT IN THE BEST OF WAYS, HOLY SHIT

Like, yeah, he’s a little judge-y on other people and their opinions, but he’s witty and sharp as fuck, so when he says something about it, ITS FUCKING HILARIOUS AND YOU’RE OKAY WITH IT

I love the way that you know Stephanie's character, you're familiar with her history and life, and then take that knowledge and use it to create new headcanons and interactions that feel real. They feel like Stephanie, and feel like they could be in actual published comics. So many of her appearances in comics are missed opportunities for depth and characterization, and you see all those opportunities and bring them together.

NAME ONE THING YOU REALLY ENJOY ABOUT HOW I PORTRAY MY CHARACTER.

this might be like, the nicest thing anyone has ever sent me? like i try so hard to make sure to use everything she's gone through in the comics to make connections because there was so much about her origins and her original story in the robin comics that the editors decided 'nahhh let's just ignore those things' and literally told future writers to ignore. not remove from canon, but simply ignore. SO IT REALLY PLEASES ME THAT ALL OF THIS TRANSLATES AND PEOPLE APPRECIATE IT. <3
