Super Important Indie Announcement
I know nobody cares about my tumblr or anything (hell, I really don't) but you all need to know about this.
This is Treasure Adventure Game, a retro-inspired Indie Game created by Robit Studios founder Stephen Orlando, who spent over two years of his life creating the game from scratch, by himself. It's an 8-bit 2D platformer with mechanical concepts inspired by more modern games that make it more tricky to play than you'd expect for its appearance, not to mention some ingenious puzzle-geared modes of thinking that always give you that sweet feeling of self satisfaction when you succeed. The best way to describe this game is an 8-bit Wind Waker, and it even has some mechanics that are obviously Zelda-inspired, but the plot and world are totally unique and should not be underestimated.
You should seriously play this game, especially since it comes free as a sign-up gift at Good Old Games, a site dedicated to bringing you old school PC titles for a fraction of the cost you'd usually find them at, if you can even find them elsewhere at all. They also have other titles available from Indie Developers, like Robit Studios. I highly recommend both getting an account at this site and playing this wonderful game. The whole thing will only take you about 8-13 hours to play through, depending on how quickly you pick up on the puzzles and how hardcore of a gamer you are.
Now the reason you should play this game is because Robit Studios has been working on a remastered version of Treasure Adventure Game entitled Treasure Adventure World. A totally reworked and re-imagined version of TAG with new graphics, songs, puzzles, enemies, everything! And they need your help with funding the project. I guarantee that if you don't think the project is worth pre-ordering or helping to fund, you will if you play Treasure Adventure Game. If you don't, then you are a sad, sad person that will probably never find happiness. And even if you don't have the money to put towards helping the developers, you can at least help by voting for the Greenlight for it on Steam.
Oh, and you should totally check out the fakebit OST hosted at Bandcamp.
