i always feel lucky to be in the company of people who are more interested in genuine accountability & social progress than the latest buzzword, who do the work of understanding & interrogating their relationships with US imperialism instead of deflecting blame or indulging in defeatism, & who are truly, deliberately empathetic in their words and actions even when it's excruciatingly difficult. i'm a better person for knowing them and i'm secure in the knowledge that they feel the same about me.
