...Or Do They?

Summary: Follow up from my first story. Mainly because it kept bugging me as well as that, Tay and I found loopholes.

The kids were in tears. Well, T4YL0R looked his best to be in tears when he had shut mom down. In fact, he was very excited. Why would you be so excited after shutting your own mother down, you ask? Well, T4YL0R had been backing up his parents systems, and now he finally had mom. He knew the robot bodies wouldn't last for ever, but saving the systems could mean his parents and uncle could. 

After QW3RTY had passed, T4YL0R was the most upset. While he had looked up to his own father, QW3RTY was still there when he needed help. It was then, that he'd gotten the great idea to preserve them. He also did the same this when his dad, saving the system on a 2.0 USB. It was hard at first getting the computer to accept the system, but once he had readjusted the coding, Dad and Uncle QW3RTs were uploaded.

He was thrilled. They were both still they and they said it was just like when they would pair together, only it was in a different system and it was forever. MP13 made the personal request of not telling Faith about any of this until she herself passed. That was how it stayed. Faith along with the other two kids M1R4 and L30, went on their daily lives with out knowing what T4YL0R had done.

He now stood behind his mother's corpse as the other two slowly turned to leave. He quickly pocketed the USB and followed after them, laying his arms over both of their shoulders. "Hey, it's gonna be fine, mom's going to a better place." They didn't catch the hint and just argued that it wasn't possible for bots.

Faith opened her eyes... Eyes? Looking around, all she could see were files and data banks and she was very confused. Was she pairing? Hadn't she shut down for good before? What was happening?! Just then, both MP13 and QW3RTY came rushing over to the two of them and embraced her in a big hug. "FAITH!! WE'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!"

"YAH! WE WERE' WANDERING WHEN YAH'D FINALLY WEAR OUT!"

She stood back and gave them both confused looks. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I-I SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY.... I WAS READY FOR IT, SO WHY AM I HERE? THIS CAN'T BE A DREAM... I'M NOT HUMAN ANYMORE." She looked down at her digital, human looking hands and sighed. One of them better explain what was going on or she'd force them two. It was QW3RTY that spoke up.

"T4YL0R HAD THE GENIUS IDEA OF BACKING UP OUR SYSTEMS AND PRESERVING US! HE COLLECTED OUR SYSTEMS AND UPLOADED US TO HIS RE-WRITTEN COMPUTER SO WE WERE COMPATIBLE!" He floated around Faith, wrapping his arms around her stomach and lifting her off the digital floor. "ISN'T IT AMAZING? WE AREN'T RESTRICTED BY OUR BODIES AND WE CAN STILL TALK TO THE KIDS!"

Faith looked away conflicted. T4YL0R hadn't told her anything about this. She lived the rest of her life believing the loves of her life were gone permanently..MP13 saw her mulling over it and embraced her in a small hug. "I KNO' WHAT YOU'AR THINKING, I WAS CONFLICTED TOO. BUHT JUHST TRY IT OUT, OKAY?"

She nodded and buried her head into his chest. "FINE.." Well at least now she's finally get to say her goodbyes to them if something happened to the database they were being held in.

"THE KIDS SET IT UP SO THEY CAN WEB CHAT AND WE CAN SEE IT! WE CAN SEE THEM AND THEY CAN SEE OUR AVATARS! T4YL0R IS SUCH A SMART KID! BUT IT'S JUST NOT T4Y- HE TOLD ME-" 

Faith cut him off. "M1RA IS A FIRE FIGHTER AND L30 IS AN ARTIST AND MASTERBUILDER. I KNOW, I LIVED LONGER THAN THE TWO OF YOU... I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, I WAS SO ALONE..." She started to cry digital tears and the both of them took her in for another hug. Just seeing their two avatars hurt. Especially MP13's after he was the one to pass away through pairing. She bit her lip and looked away and MP13 understood, backing up a little.

"I WOHNT LEAVE SO SUDDENLY THIS TIME, FAITH. NEITHA WILL QW3RTS. WE'RE HERE FOR YA, WE PROMISE."

All Good Things Come to an End

Summary: Basically, it's Faith looking back on her life. I haven't mentioned a lot because Tay and I still have a long life ahead of us to RP. Same with all the other bots mentioned as well! Anyway, don't read it unless you want to be sad.

Faith had lived a long and amazing life. Although the first few years were a little boring, once she'd met the loves of her life, she had been on so many wild and fun adventures. Even having and raising triplets with her boyfriends was a challenge in itself.

Faith sat in her office chair in the old worn out Octan Tower. It had been closed after President Business had moved into Bricksburg to work from there. After Taco Tuesday had ended, a lot of bots had shut themselves down in the tower for fear of change. They didn't know what to do with their current protocols still in effect and panicked. A few robots did stay online but eventually wore down because of the lack of upgrades.

After the shut down of the tower, all the robots that were still online either stayed behind to continue doing what they were doing. A lot of R&D robots continued testing, KR45H mainly staying online for the fun. Others actually left the tower to learn more about their protocols or humanity. Faith, QW3RTY and MP13, after raising their kids in the Octan tower for a few years, eventually moved into a spare MB house to live in together. Their kids grew up to be perfect. They all fit in with society fine, especially after having been raised by robots.

Eventually though, one by one, the kids moved out and it was just the three bots left in the house. After having gone years with out any upgrades, both hardware and software wise, they were all worn. Limping and having joints jarring was a common thing in the house hold, and they all had to watch each other's backs. The children would always come to visit and help support their parents, even by bringing in mechanics to help with some hardware issues, but all of them knew they wouldn't be able to stay online the longest.

QW3RTY was the first to go. He'd always been the least careful bot, putting Faith's and MP13's needs ahead of his and eventually, his body couldn't hand the stress and he just shut down one day. Faith was devastated. She wanted to cry her mechanical heart out but she couldn't afford to with the lack of replaceable optics. The children insisted on giving him a proper burial in the backyard. After QW3RTY had gone, things were just not the same. 

The household was a lot more boring. Faith and MP13 spent their days huddled together pairing with each other. They'd try and fix each other's systems up just to give themselves something to do. By now, they were both too worn out and rusted to leave the house so the kids visited a lot more. MP13 was the next to go. Both him and QW3RTY had custom made robotic bodies back from when they were split and none of them had had any repairs or upgrades since. Faith was the lucky one as she was a very common model and when the kids could, they would fine her spare parts. 

One night when they were pairing together, MP13 suddenly vanished from her systems and when she broke out of the pairing, she saw his body laid across the floor. She couldn't hold back the tears this time and she couldn't even call the kids. They found her a week later curled in the corner on temporary shut down. All of them were devastated. They buried him right next to his twin in the backyard. The worst part was, MP13 and QW3RTY both never got to say their goodbyes.

After that, the kids insisted Faith live with them but she refused to leave the house, instead keeping busy with video games or entertainment provided by them. It was one day that the first warning message came up. She ignored it at first, but that resulted in her losing feeling in her left arm. After that, she called her oldest son to come and pick her up. To them, her request was a little odd, but they followed through.

Now here she was, sat at her old office desk in an old wrecked Octan Tower with her kids exploring the place and revisiting old memories. She sighed and shut her optics briefly, smiling at all the fun memories she had here with her friends. Nurse, Ditz, 7201, 1235, Pyro, HOP, KR45H... A lot of them had shut down now, and she was almost sure she was the last bot left to be functioning. One of her boys rushed over towards her with a large grin plastered on his face. "Hey mom! Remember when you used to tell us off for jumping on all your furniture but in the end you gave up and joined in?" She brought that memory up in her system and smiled at him. "OF COU*ZTT*RSE I DO!" 

Just then, her final warning message had popped up. Who knew that battery would be her downfall? She would still charge, but her battery was warn and to be honest with herself, she was ready to be shut down permanently. She'd had a good life, and mulling over it all had done her systems good. "C-CAN YOU GET YOUR- *ZTT* SH-IBLINGS FOR ME?" As the man ran off, she thought on how to word things out. She knew what she would tell them would break their hearts, but it needed to be done..

Two men and a woman came in, all stood before her at her desk and if she was still human, she would've gulped. "KIDS- YO-YOU KNOW I *ZTT* LOVE YOU VVVVVERY MUCH.. I-I WANT Y-YOUUUUU TO TREAT EA-EACH OTHER PERF*ZTT*PERFECTLY, UNDERSTOOD?" The kids stood there and gave her a confused look. "Mom-?" Faith could see tears start to form in the oldest's eyes. He knew what was going on.

"M-MY TI*ZZZT*-TIME IS UPPPP. I-I'M S-SO SOR-*ZT*RY-...." All of them were embracing her in hugs and crying. "Mom no! Please! We can try to fix you!" It was a very heart breaking moment, Faith knew it, but she also knew when it was her time. The oldest got the other two to stand back, tears running down his cheeks. Faith nodded at him and he returned the gesture, slowly opening her switch box at the back of her head. Silently, he flicked the kill switch and the other two watched the light drain from her optics.

"WHY WOULD YOU-" 

"MOM COULD'VE SURVIVED LONGER-"

"Guys... It was her time. We couldn't have repaired her, even if we got the best mechanic in Bricksburg to do it... Let's just bury her next to Dad and Uncle QW3RTs..." 

The daughter shook her head. "No.. She wanted to be here for a reason. I say we just leave her there.."

The argument went on for a while, but in the end the decision was made to keep Faith where she was. Every year, the kids would come to place flowers around her rusting corpse and wish every day they could have done more but eventually, they all accepted that no one couldn't escape death, not even robots.
