We know May’s going to be trapped in her own mind for a while. What if she encounters a memory/her own perception of Coulson? And something happens? From a shipper’s pov we’ve been so concerned with wtf is happening with Coulson/RoboMay that we’ve kinda forgotten that May’s in her own fake situation. Can you imagine the possible angst?

Watch the writers pull some bullshit like after the Philinda kiss, Phil says, "You just gave yourself away. The real Melinda wouldn't have leaned into that kiss." Not trying to be negative but the writers love pulling BS like that.
