PRETTY GOOD JARRED VODKA PASTA RECIPE
ingredience:
1 jar of vodka sauce
1 pound of whatever pasta you want (I did spaghetti)
1 packet of the buldak quatro cheese spicy sauce (not the cheese packet tho)
20 oz of slice mushroom (2 packets of the trader joes sliced mushrooms.. you can do as much as u want tbh i would've done more if i had more than 5 dollars on me)
oil
salt
(optional) shredded parmasean cheese
STEP 1: boil ze pasta. cook it to a little bit less than al dente (if its al dente thats fine it won't ruin it or anything) and then drain + set aside once done. if you can keep some pasta cooking water but if you can't thats also fine it dont matter. try to not use too little water like i did but tbh it didn't make any difference using like 1 liter of water so as long as the water can cook the pasta thats good enough
STEP 2: put a bit of oil in the pan and put all the mushrooms in. make sure to salt them becuase it helps the moisture get out (i heard this from babish). everybody says dont crowd the pan and they're probably right but again i be making this in one tiny ass pot so uncooked the mushrooms filled like 2/3 of it LOL. just keep stirring and cook until the moisture has come out and evaporated. (if you're rushing then i dont think it matters that the water evaporates since its all going in sauce anyways)
STEP 3: take off heat and add the jar of sauce to pan of mushrooms. if you can add some water or milk <- (if youre bougie like that) and mix it all around in the sauce jar to get the last bits out. add buldak sauce packet and if you desire as much grated parmasean cheese as you wish. mix it all together until its evenly combined
STEP 4: put the cooked pasta in the sauce + cooking water if you saved any. don't put a lot of cooking water if you did save it like only a little bit ok *VERY CRUCIAL* DO NOT USE A POT THAT IS TOO SMALL FOR MIXING. my pot is too small. i was fighitng for my fucking life to mix this together and it was flicking sauce all over my jammies bruh moment. im not getting a new pot tho so im going to experience this again next time i cook this bruhhh im like sissy fist pushing that boulder up da mountain. anyways mix until well combined. i personally recommend putting it on heat and mixing for a few minutes to let the sauce soak into the pasta but its not that deep enjoy that shit. best served with my mom's leftover chicken parmasean. this will feed two fatasses for 2 meals (so a total of 4.. 2x2=4) if you're not a fatass idk how long this will feed you but probably a while
you can make this a lot better like you could fry up a few chopped cloves of garlic before adding the mushrooms and you can add thyme and basil and all those italian herbs and you can add a bit of real cream and even better than all of this you could cook some chicken in the pan and then use the mushroom moisture when cooking to get the fonde off the bottom to mix in for flavor + chicken pieces BUT THIS IS ALL WHY THIS ISN'T CALLED "THE BEST JARRED VODKA PASTA" ITS JUST GOOD. ITS PRETTY GOOD. THE UPGRADE MAKES IT SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER THAN IF IT HAD NOTHING ADDED. you can also add red pepper flake instead of buldak sauce for spice i just prefer using buldak spice because my body can't handle red pepper flake it makes me shit flames. the buldak is not there to make it actually taste like buldak its there to add spicyness and maybe the faintest hint of buldak. if you add two packets it will be definitely buldak flavored and tbh idk if thats a good thing like at that point you might as well just eat some buldak LOL
