I guess calling yourself Emiry could be seen as emulating “engrish” which is problematic because it’s poking fun at the way Asian people speak English. And from what I’ve seen they kinda feel like they get enough of that already.
yeah i did realise that so i'll cut down on it i think it's only on skype that i ... use it and maybe my ask tag so i'll prolly fix that up !!
Ok this isn't a question but you are really awesome! I don't have time right now but I really look forward to going through all your cosplay photos x3 do you have any plans to come to dragoncon or momocon?
Thank you for saying hello, robosuplex! And thank you for the complement, I always appreciate people getting something out of what I do. Your art has great life to it, so I’m happy to discover you too!As for conventions, I will be unable to attend Dragoncon or Momocon. I’ve heard a ton of good things about both, and Dragoncon is something I want to try to do someday. It sounds like a blast. Actually, in the 2014 year, I will not be able to attend any conventions in the USA, which is an announcement I keep meaning to make! Why?I’ll be working in Japan for a year! So for folks on the other side of the Pacific, I’ll be in the Kanto region soon.
I just wanted to say thanks so much for this blog! I'm a Hufflepuff too and I am completely in giggles at all of these posts! They're so cute and totally true!! A while back there was a post about Hufflepuffs and Slytherins getting along and actually my boyfriend of 3 years is a Slytherin and we couldn't be happier! Oh, also, it seems I missed out on the Hufflepuffs of Tumblr thing... could I still submit one?
Oh I’m so glad you found it! I believe there are multiple things posted about Hufflepuffs’ and Slytherins’ compatibility… you might check here if you wanna see more.
And you can absolutely make a ‘hufflepuffs of tumblr’ post (best if you post it to your own blog and tag it…don’t make it a submission). You may not get as much traffic to your post as the other participants did, but that’s no reason not to make one!
Hiya! I have a quick question. I need to put gold trim on a circle skirt a little ways in from the hem. Would the stretch vinyl only work as edge trim or can it work for my project without distorting too much? Thanks!
I think it heavily depends on how wide the trim needs to be. You’d be treating the stretch vinyl like single-fold bias tape, and it’s good that it has a bit of stretch to maneuver around the circumference of a circle.
However the problem is that the inner edge of the trim needs to travel a shorter distance than the outer edge. And in my experience it’s really hard to minimize the bunching in that case. If the trim is thin, like 1/2 inch, it should be doable.
If the trim is an inch or more, the difference is more extreme. If you stretch the “outer edge” too much it’ll probably cause bunching to the overall skirt or make the vinyl pull really bad.
I haven’t tried to do this specifically, so my guess is it may be difficult for wide trim in particular! As a side note, I know the gold stretch vinyl was impossible to top-stitch on my machine. You may need a special foot to glide over the vinyl if you need to sew over it's right side!! X'D
Hi I'm Christina! I started following a few weeks ago from a lolita post and I'm also super into cosplay. Do you cosplay yourself? P.S. I think you have great taste *0*
Hello Christina! Thank you for following :)
I do cosplay! I missed doing a 2013 cosplay review on tumblr but I got one up on my blog Silver-Afternoon: Review 2013 and 2012.
and thank you! That's very kind of you ❤
I'm on my way to becoming Bedelia, guys!
