I wonder! I wonder if it was a perfect storm of factors in some way: Grimmy making them all more comfortable, Harry being sick that day, etc. But I also do wonder if one of the factors WAS robot Harry, like... was there was something about listening to the iphone that let him fall more open than usual? I know sometimes when you're actively listening, you can kind of forget about your face because you're busy using your ears and he WAS trying to figure out what Siri was saying...

And I think you’re right..it kind of IS a perfect storm. Not only are they all relaxed because they ARE all comfortable with Grimmy, but the very first question was from Anne so that definitely set the tone. I feel like he trusted Grimmy not to ask or allow the ridiculous questions that they’re often hit with- questions about girls, questions about Zayn’s leaving, etc.
I also agree with you that he was concentrating on typing and listening rather than giving the “right” answer. It seems to me that in so many interviews he tries to be as professional as possible. I think he puts a lot of pressure on himself because of that and in this interview, that was off. I mean, how can you be “professional” when you have a female siri voice speaking for you? I think he got caught up in the ridiculousness of the situation and went with it. With how serious he seems to be presenting himself publicly, with his robot twitter and the way he no longer smiles in fan pics, it’s easy to forget just how SILLY this kid is. I don’t think that’s gone away, I think he just keeps it hidden and this was the perfect opportunity for it to come out.
