Light heard that one of the bots was going to spend Valentines at home with chocolate and a good(?) movie, so he decided to go out and pick up a few boxes of chocolate so that Hard might be able to expand his hoard for the event! As someone who has done very similar things ( and who will probably do the same this year ) he wants to be able to help him have a good holiday!

Hardman says thank you so much!!He hopes Dr. Light has a wonderful holiday too.

"I'm not talking to you." "Aw, but what's the fun in that?" Copy Elec grinned sharply at the glare he got from Elec Man, casually positioned against the wall. "How've you been?" "Get out." "Snapped yet? You should be getting there." Elec tensed, eyes narrowing as he bared his teeth, but didn't reply. "Oh!" Copy Elec tapped his cheek with a finger. "What was it that happened recently? You got yelled at by a human, right? On the street." He grinned knowingly. Elec clenched his hands into fists, tensing. "Don't you dare." Copy Elec grinned, showing off his sharp teeth. "You never tolerate that otherwise. If a human yells at you you don't take it..." he rested his chin in his hand. "...So what did they say this time, huh?" Copy Elec purred. "Was it more personal?" "Stop it," Elec snapped, snarling lowly, his voice sharp. "Get out and leave me alone or I'll make you." Elec moves closer, causing Copy Elec to chuckle and back up, resting against the open window he had crawled through and sitting on it. "Oh yeah? Make me." He said. "But you know I'm right. I know why it bothers you so much. Sure, you were under control, but you liked it." "I didn't--" "We both know that you can't blame all of it on programming." Copy Elec tilted his head back, grinning. "Does your family know? I mean, they have to know that there were casualties, but did you ever tell them how you did it?" Elec narrows his eyes, pupils shrinking as he shook with anger, teeth bared sharply. His eyes had widened for a moment before narrowing again. "Don't you dare," He snarled threateningly, his voice low. Copy Elec's gaze shifted behind Elec, his grin knowing and calm as he spoke. The human must have heard what they were saying wih how close he had been. "What do you think, Dr. Light? Did he ever tell you?" Elec froze, eyes widening and an expression of fear flashing across his features, just for a moment.

“I thank you for your kindness but...” He trailed off, his eyes downcast for a moment before he picked up again. “It would have been different if his death was preventable, and if I hadn’t made as big of mistakes as I had, but unfortunately that’s not what happened. I’m sure you know about that faux X that ruled over Neo Arcadia for a while. I was foolish enough to follow him and make the mess bigger. If it was just something I spotted and prevented it would have been different but...”

He shook his head, trying his best to create a real, true smile on his face. It was hard but he wanted to at least try. “Nevertheless I’m glad that you can forgive me... I just hope one day I can actually talk to Master X about it. His cyber elf form is elusive though, so I’m not sure how easy that will be.” Or if it was possible at all. It’s likely that X was gone for good. Something that hurt his heart to think of but then again, Rock told him he couldn’t be too mad. After all the world was at peace again, Neo Arcadia’s rebuilding was going well, the energy crisis resolved-- things were getting better.

And best of all, they were being reminded of the history they had forgotten so long ago. “Nevertheless, thank you for building him... and thank you for holding such hope in your heart. To be honest if not for you I literally would not be here right now. And without you I’m sure none of this would be as it is.” X never talked about Light labs with Harpuia, he was in the dark about the origins of his master, but Rock was pretty open about it. Talking about it frequently and telling stories. He was so quick to explain to them how life was like back then-- it sounded so much more colorful than it did now.

((Well, he would most certainly hook her up with the protection against that if she wanted! Even if he wasn’t the one who finished her, Thomas does feel that she is still his daughter - which he wouldn’t say, only because he doesn’t know how she’d feel about it tbh

I think that would be a topic to discuss a little further down the line, perhaps after a hypothetical reconciliation.  Rest assured, her feelings on the subject are just as conflicted as Dr. Light’s.

Four small bags are delivered to the building, and a medium box. The box is addressed towards the doctor - with some chocolates and new drill heads, as his own typically wore down faster than he liked, as well as a note wishing her well and a good holiday. The smaller bags were filled with ETanks and knick knacks he thought might be nice to occupy their attention during free time. Vesper's bag was topped with a bow, and also had a metal bracelet with a floral latch. A note; 'Feel free to visit!'

“Looks like somebody’s dad is playing favorites with them, doesn’t it?”

“You are seriously about to catch these hands, Tempo.”

“Are you that eager to break every bone below your elbows?  Just go visit your dad instead, you two need to finish hugging it out.”

While Tempo and Synth continue their sibling rivalry, Noele and Echo get the drills moved into the lab, then head off to the den to enjoy the snacks -- and the peace and quiet that suddenly occupied the remainder of the house.

“Maybe there’s a nice romance on TV for us to watch while we eat all this chocolate.  What do you think?”

“Сука блядь, those movies are the worst.  How would Synth put it?  I would rather not spend my day watching a bunch of cishets be cishet?”

“Well, your sister would probably use contractions, but that does sound like something she’d say.  Fair enough -- we can put the science channel on while we pig out.”

Light was only answered with a slow, soft nuzzle from Galaxy Man in return for the time being, the young ‘bot holding himself tightly onto his creator... his father. It was clear the young’un was upset, but for what reason, none could tell. Well, that is, until he spoke up, which he did in a very choked-up, sad, and nervous manner;

“I-I... I’m just sorry, dad...” he managed to croak out, his digitalized voice seemingly trying to hold back tears. “I-I... I never really got a chance to apologize for... f-for what I did. F-For what that mean Dr. Wily made m-me do... I-I just--” he actually sniffles out loud once. “I just--... I didn’t wanna get scrapped, dad... I-I know, it was stupid t-to listen to Wily, but...”

At this point, however, Galaxy Man just returns to burying his “face” against Light’s chest. The poor child had never really gotten a chance to truly apologize to his creator about what happened, until now.
