Bit of Scira fun for you. Basically, while Kira lived in New York, she loved Hockey so much or any other sport, she joined a local team. Once in Beacon HIlls, she and Scott end up teaching the other how to play their preferred sport as a date or a hang out thing in an amusing attempt to convert the other to their preferred sport.

And do you know why Ennis did? Because Derek set it up. Derek was sooooo in love with Paige, that he had a violent adult alpha chase her around the school, hunt her down, and violate her while he sat on a bench in the locker room and listened to her scream until he felt so guilty he tried to stop it. Too late though. Yes, it was Peter’s bad idea, but Derek is the one that set it up and Derek is the one who listened to this scared, terrified girl scream for help as she ran for her life and did nothing, all because he wanted to bite her without telling her or asking her consent.

Paige died because Derek murdered her. It wasn’t a mercy killing, it was murder. It’s his fault she was assaulted and violated to the point where she was in excruciating pain, and then he’s the one who murdered her. It was his fault and he never, ever faced any consequences for his actions. His mother swept the assault and murder under the rug and cooed about her baby boy’s pretty blue murder eyes.

Derek Hale is a monster of a character.
