Savage / Tonight, 1984

Roberto Zanetti (Italian Roberto Zanetti; b. November 28, 1956, Massa, Tuscany) is an Italian singer, composer and lyricist. As a musician, he is better known under the pseudonym Savage, as a producer-Robyx. A typical Italian disco presenter of the 1980s.

At the age of 14, he began learning to play the piano.

The first achievement came to the German as part of the Santarosa group with the hit Souvenir, which in 1978 sold over 200,000 copies in Italy.

In 1980, together with Adelmo Fornachari, he founded the band Taxi, which became the winner of the song festival in Castrocaro in 1981. The band releases the single To Miami, which reached the top of the Italian charts.

The first option as a producer is related to working on a song by Taxi group called Stargo.

Since 1983, he has been working closely on the Savage project of the same name, posing under the name of the hero of his favorite comics.

He is the founder of several record companies Robyx Productions, Extravaganza Publishing and World Attack Records (DWA).

Darf ich vorstellen: Roberto Zanetti, auch bekannt unter Robyx oder auch Savage. Ein bekannter Musiker der 90'er Jahre. Ein Guter freund von mir wollte ihm eine freude machen und so habe ich ihm dieses Bild gezeichnet. Savage hat sich sehr darüber gefreut und das hat wiederum mich gefreut ;)

Savage // A Love Again (Robyx Remix)

Yesterday, I stumbled upon the work of this Italian artist/producer named Roberto Zanetti, who goes by the stage name Savage (when he dons his producer cap, he's known as Robyx). To be honest, I didn't know him or his music at all (which probably shows some ignorance on my part), but he has been a successful artist across Europe, having had a string of synth-driven electropop singles back in the 80's. This remix of A Love Again, released in 1985, is probably my favourite, although he has released a lot of good stuff worth listening to.
