Cooperative Principles are the seven guidelines by which coops put their values into practice, often called the seven Rochdale Principles:

Democratic member control
Economic participation by members

Cooperation among cooperatives
Concern for community
Cooperatives Values, in the tradition of its founders, are based on "self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity."
