But then again the term groupie has been around since the 60s. How did these women who got involved with them not know because back then on the rock scene everyone new someone who was a groupie

oh of course they do! it hurts to get cheated on, and i’ll never deny them their right to be hurt by it. still…it doesn’t necessarily make sense to blame the groupies, who are also a bunch of girls being exploited by their favourite band member. it would be pure ignorance to claim you didn’t know your husband was going to cheat on you when his career is literally founded by a bunch of teenage girls that keep his band afloat. like you are marrying a guy who will never be faithful to you because he’s a whore, you can be hurt by that but you can’t complain that a bunch of groupies turned your husband against you, cause that’s just not true. still, i feel for the girls, they must have been truly blind by love to believe a rockstar would be 100% faithful to them.
