So Excited!

Today has been great in many ways, and I count myself lucky, blessed, fortunate, whatever suits you. I am sitting, listening to the mastered copy of my album, almost ready to approve and make this thing final. It sounds amazing. David Glasser at Airshow Mastering Studio has won Grammys and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with him. And it would not have been possible if my crowd funding campaign wasn't going so well. A couple Tumblr folk have contributed and I am so grateful for that. You know who you are! I'd love to see some more names (not that I might know your real name) show up!  Today, I am proud to announce that the Rocket Hub campaign has pushed past $3000 and is 77% funded. This is a validation of the work, and a testament to how awesome my friends are! Add to that a day that saw me put on the park ranger uniform, take photos of big horn sheep babies, and help visitors make the most of their visit to the park, and you'll get that I am happy. Update: We are over 50% funded, but still a long way from the goal.

However, with what we’ve done so far, I have scheduled my mastering session with David Glasser, who has mastered albums by Gregory Alan Isakov and other favorites of mine. My last band used him as mastering engineer as well, and he has the awesome ability to really bring out the right sounds. Can’t wait to hear it!

Thanks to those of you who have supported so far. And thanks for spreading the word about this project. I think most artists just want their music to be heard, so a simple share or re-blog means so much!
