ROCKET TOWN IS CONFIRMED TO BE IN FFVII REVELATION I’M FREAKING OUT
Mossfire Valley Illustrator: Eddie Mendoza
Cid and Shera in Rocket Town
I've put off posting this for a week. Its far from perfect but, I've decided from now on when the anatomy/perspective is off, we're just going to say, "Its based on the Mannerist style. I meant to do that."
Its from a fic I've been writing called, "The Crack in Our Limit Gauge" - here we see Yuffie break her rule of not taking touristy photos to mock Shinra's inability to get it up.
Sometimes my vision would blur as I drew and the rocket looked a bit like Cactuar and I like that. This was hand drawn with watercolor pencil on Bristol board, the lyrical references are to Tori Amos's "Beauty of Speed."
If You Look (very) Closely...
Have you noticed there's a picture of Hironobu Sakaguchi (FF series creator) hanging on the wall of the Item Shop in Rocket Town?
The art director of FFVII, Yusuke Naora, even commented on it:
“And even after I stopped working, my boss was still making stuff. On one of the posters hanging on the wall, he added an image of Hironobu Sakaguchi. (laughs). I should be upfront: there's many graphics that even I don't know about hidden away in the game. Be sure to look closely at the walls inside the buildings. Who knows what surprising things you might discover. The Rocket Town especially has a variety of interesting things hidden away”
