Hello! I'm curious if you have read Paul's poem "Rocking On", from his poetry book Blackbird Singing. I wonder what you think of it, as I have seen many people saying it's likely about John.
Hello Listener! I have read the Rocking On poem! It's very cute. I don't think it's crazy at all to read this as something for John, especially with the rock theme and the 50s reference. Personally, though, I think this has Linda written all over it. I'll admit that whenever music/rock comes up, my first thought is usually John, but sometimes I have to remind myself that OH YEAH, Paul and Linda were also bandmates throughout the 70s! LOL They've also mentioned bonding over what they listened to as teens, and of course all couples discuss their respective childhoods. Similarly, my friends and I reminisce about the stuff of our childhood together -even though we didn't know each other back then. "Deepest wildwood" sounds like outdoor fucking, which is a thing I think Paul is into (plenty of references to OF in his 70s material to my ears, although I could be hallucinating). Also, the underarm thing? So very Linda, with her armpit fuzz (which Paul has confirmed he finds sexy). The furry kitten? As cliche a metaphor as it is, I think he is indeed talking about that thang. The babies? Self-explanatory. Also, the whole tone gives me married couple vibes. Like the foamy tub. Very domestic! But I'm not here to yuck anyone's yum! It could totally be about John!
