Stitched Up Heart’s “Never Alone” Album Review:
On June 17, 2016, Stitched Up Heart released their long awaited debut full-length album called “Never Alone”. The album opens with the song “Finally Free”, booming song where you get a taste of brilliance that Stitched Up Heart does in this record. From the first song to the last one you hear Mixi’s amazing vocal range with beautiful melodies and perfectly timed screams which give a unique soulful touch t their songs. The vast majority of this record sounds anthemic with the ability to songs that people remember their entire life. In the songs “Monster”, “Catch Me When I Fall” and “It’s So Easy” and in many more we can clearly hear their potential to become rock anthems. Apart from the amazing vocals in this album, the rhythm section did a great job of playing to the song when they needed to and having that extra metal touch when it was called for. The guitar player, Merrit Alfero, has very interesting and useful playing style because we get heavy riffs, heavy breakdowns and simple but spot on rhythm guitar. The song “City Of Angels” is a good example where you can hear his great playing style. As for the drummer and bass player they do a perfect job of complementing each other but, I most say it is something to hear this drummer throughout this entire album whereas we can get very metal drumming with the double pedal and loud crashes, he’s also great when he needs to play to the song. Overall “Never Alone” is an amazing album by Stitched Up Heart that has only to go up from here. I do recommend you buy this album it will be worth the money because you won't get tired of hearing it. This album has everything you could imagine in a hard rock album. Support the artist by buying their album and seeing them live on tour.
