Zinke Late to Fashion Trend, Cultural Appropriation

Washiindon- Fashion is usually at a stand still within the executive branch but Secretary Zinke surprised everyone. The secretary finally caught up with the latest trend that has been the hot thing since forever, cultural appropriation.

The secretary released an image with his new mocs on twitter and the native population cringed. Many Navajos were baffled by the fashion move of the secretary.

Zinke tweeted:

“I just got my new mocs.” #MAGA #MOCS #MAGAMOCS”

Many people saw this as an insult on two fronts, one on the cultural appropriation and the other on his deeds. Tlo’chi’iin political analyst, Frank Duprane, spoke about the tweet.

“Its not a good move by a man who reduced the National monument that was intended to protect sacred sites”. “He is obviously oblivious to his contradictory nature and its cringey at best and ignorant at worst”.

“I wonder who sold him those shoes, what are those”????

Tlo’chi’iin spoke to Navajo activist, Marley Yazzie, about the symbolism of the fashion.

“It’s obvious that he is a colonizer perpetuation the settler-colonial state” he said clutching his walking stick. “This is a small but important symbol of the on going colonial processes”. “The use of American socks in a Native moccasins is him showing us that he is trying to get us to be more American”.

Tlo’chi’iin reached out to Zinke’s office but no one returned our calls. We found out that Carlyle Begaye supported the moccasins and he will be releasing his own photo later this week. 

Trump praised the moccasins.
