Josh and I had a repeat of the two shows we did on our first studio day - we’d been dreading it ever since, given the difficulties we had. We swapped over, so Josh went first and took the longer second show. I was mock-outraged after Josh had a much easier script than I did last week, and even more so when I prepped almost a million graphics for my show.* To compound this, the producer abandoned all pretense and straight-up they had no running order, and we would just be winging it!

I was quite nervous, though the nerves were unfounded; the show went much more smoothly - the room was quieter and more organised, we knew what was going on, and I needed only a small fraction of the graphics I prepared. I think that’s why I was so nervous, as my list of graphics was very long (and therefore daunting), but in reality, it was a fairly simple show. I was actually a bit gutted I didn’t offer/use more of what I’d made, as I think some of them were quite interesting, and Brandon complimented me on them, too.

I still felt a little nervy even after the show had ended (and we’d both received positive words from a number of our colleagues), so I had no qualms in picking RocoMamas as tonight’s restaurant as a reward; it was even better than last time, as I chowed down on a very spicy burger, which is in the running for messiest thing I’ve ever eaten!

I had been eyeing up the glasses - and everything else in the place, to be honest - given its appealing colour scheme, and we asked after the meal if we could take some glasses home with us, stressing that we were from the UK where we don’t have RocoMamas (poor us, eh). Much to my delight, the nice waitress brought us a couple back, and I left a very happy (and full) man, with a pair of orange glasses under my arm!
