It's so silly to me that Randy's actor is Darry's canon height, 6'2, and Patrick Swayze was only 5'10. I believe. This just makes me giggle because if you adapt that height to the books where Darrel is 6'2 and Randy is four inches taller that means Randy would be 6'6. So pony just has a tank built older brother and a crazy tall boyfriend.

But also I love to imagine what the gangs face would look like when Darry was the biggest guy in their lives and then all of a sudden here comes bigfoot hand and hand with Pony.

Along with affectionate petnames greasers, especially curtis's are cuddle bugs, and are much more physically affectionate than socs. Especially in public, socs usually do not hang off od each other. But pony doesn't care about soc etiquette, why should he, he isn't a soc. And will hang off Randy. Poor Randy just ain't ready for it. Especially since its such a constant thing of pony leaning against him, holding onto him, holding him. But Randy gets over it pretty soon because he'd rather let his boyfriend comfortably show him affection in his own way than push Pony off.

Meanwhile soc affectionate is more of gift giving than pda. So Pony will come home with new sketchbooks and books a lot. Other times its bigger things like name brand clothes or expensive art supplies. Ponys favorite gifts though aren't the ones Randy buys but the ones that belonged to Randy. Like Randy owned a stuffed monkey as a kid. It was his childhood stuff animal and he gave it to pony. Pony cried. Or when he let's pony barrow a shirt or something. Pony won't wear it out, he can't ruin his image with soc clothes. But when he is home that thing doesn't come off.

Darry, jokingly: aw, well thats nice. I'm sure hes great as long as he's not a soc or something.

Pony: ...

Dar: well is he at least a nice one that hasn't jumped greasers are had any thing to do with the fountain?

Pony despite his limited options tries to express himself in his clothes. So whenever he gets new hand me downs he tries to customize them. Even his converse. But Randy much like others socs just wears name brands and fits in.

So when they go out it's just pony being a diva and his tall boring looking boyfriend.

Pony and Randy get culture shock from each other all the time. The most notable is when Randy explains why socs still talk to people they don't like for the alliances and appearances and pony is confused af on why he should ever be bothered forcing a relationship when theres mutual dislike.

Pony: So... You both hate each other. But you hang out because your parents want you to?

Randy: Well yeah. Think of it like your track team. You may not like everybody on it but you have to get along to win.

Pony: I don't even know half their names.

Randy: Darling...no.

Pony is also very petty.

So when his boyfriend gets on his nerves Pony will set Randy's car seat as close to the dashboard as possible.

Randy does not appreciate trying to get in his car and then fighting for his life sitting at an awkward angle, squished between the wheel and the seat trying to push it back.

Randy wants to wear matching outfits with pony like soc couples do but pony will not let Randy degreasify him no matter how many expensive brands are thrown his way.

But he does keep the clothes and shares then with Johnny cause they're good quality and pony isnt waisting perfectly good shirts in this economy. Plus Johnny probably needs it more than him.

I know I talk about in the case of purly and Markboy Soda wouldn't like pony taste in men. But I don't think either of them could come close to how much soda would despise rodeo, randyxpony.

He knows who Randy is and what he's done. Randy was at the trial and he confessed. Not only that but I'm sure any if the gang would recognize that blue mustang. The same one that pulled up on Johnny. And the fact Randy was Bob's BEST FRIEND.

Soda would be fuming if pony brought Randy home. I see Darry not liking it either but he would try to keep calm because he promised to not fight with pony so much. But Soda? Oh much God soda looks like he wants Randy's head to be separated from his body slowly. Obviously Randy would notice it and it would be very awkward.

This would also be the only ship I can see soda never fully accepting. When it comes to purly in markboy Soda is gonna get over it at some point. Even if they keep a civil fued. But rodeo? Oh hell no. Till the say soda dies, even if he's got dementia and can't recognize his own kids. He's gonna see a picture of pony and Randy or here about them and get all pissy.

And trust, he's gonna be throwing shade. He doesnt care if it's their wedding day he'll be the kindest best bug brother but as soon as he looks at his brother in law he just glares.

And if pony takes the Anderson name sodas sobbing and bawling his eyes out about horrible connections but if Randy takes the Curtis name soda says he has no right and aint his family.

He is not letting this go. This is his hill he will die on.
