The worst part of the thing? When it disappears Pony stresses the fuck out. The thing is usual a constant in Pony's life. He knows it exists he just doesn't know what it is and no one wants to listen to him. But when it leaves pony knows he's fucked. Usually what happens is the thing stopped showing up and s week later something horrible happens. It's usually a death. Like I said in my last post about his grandparents and fig. But he was young and by that point had no clue what was going on. But when his parents died the next day the thing was back. Before the book Pony and Darry were fighting because pony swore up and down the thing was gone and he was scared and Darry was lowkey calling him crazy. And the thing does not like to be ignored or questioned so while most people would say losing three kids was an unfortunate accident pony has a different answer.

The thing AU part idr

This is kind of a personal story. But basically how this started was when Pony was a baby the Curtis parents got a rosary to put in his room. They got one for each of their kids, I'm going based off the fact pony and Johnny have a connection to Christianity, not because of the church. But when they actually went to church until they stopped.

Anyway the rosary was haunted with the thing, and it started small. Creaking, ponys music box being turned on randomly, the nursery door opening in the middle of the night. Things breaking randomly. As I said previouslt demons feed off of tragedy and so let's say a grand parents died. Well now it got a bit stronger. When their dog died? It got a bit stronger. Mrs. Curtis was very suspicious about this, she was almost a median but not like she could see it she could sense it. Meanwhile pony is an actual median and can see it. But she had a suspicion about the rosary so she broke it... Which if you know about spirits you know that's a bad idea. The demon was the free to attatch to whatever it wanted. And it chose the baby. Aka pony.

Little Pony was a master manipulator for two reasons. One he knew he was a good liar from a young age, two Sodapop.

If Pony wanted to play with Soda and Steve? Crying. Soda caved.

If Pony broke something he'd quiver his lip, swear it was an accident and Soda would take the fall everytime.

If Pony decided at three AM he needed a slice of cake, he'd go to Soda's room, wake him up, and they'd be in the kitchen eating cake like ninja's.

He could do this to the others as well but it was not as easy. For his mom he'd have to play the long game and be on his absolute best behavior.

When it came to Mr. Curtis he just became a suck up. Darrel he also needed to suck up too, but on top of that he needed to be on his best behavior. Because teenage Darry, one wrong mood swing and it was over.

Soda's will always be the worst victim thought.
