Modern outsiders headcanons.

Pony prefers vapes but will still smoke on occasion.

Two- bit watches Sophia the first with his sister.

The Curtis parents kept an eye on the media their life consumed. The shepard parents did not.

The Shepard's have one just dance game and Pony and Curlysuscle memories still kick in sometimes when they hear certain songs.

Scout is a total kpop fan. She knows all the choreography too.

Tim has life 360 on the twins phones cause they're in dangerous business and sometimes the twins will turn the back on him and check his location. God forbid he goes to a store because theyre blowing up his phone.

Similarly Darrel has ponys location. Not sodas. But it doesnt even matter because pony gets his phone taken away so much he has it less than Darry.

pony and mark are theatre kids. They'll try to indoctrinate the others but their success rate is M&M and Scout. The rest refuse.

Another part of this is that Pony and Mark have one song and it's therapy from tik tik boom. That is their song. No one else can have it.

Pony is the worst driver to ever grace roblox. Bro can not drive for the life of him but he has the best memorization of maps.

Steve used to use fake accounts and scam pony on adopt me.

Darry had a Minecraft phase were everything he had had to be Minecraft.

Soda used to play the my little pony adventure game religiously.

Sodas favorite alicorn is cadence.

Steve paints his nails black.

Pony reads everyone from fan fiction, to actually books, to Kindle online books.

Pony knows what the Omega verse is but hed never admit it. Hes deeply ashamed of this fact.

Curly was a FNAF kid.

Dallas was a creepypasta kid. You would have to waterboarding this information from him though.

Ponyboy and Curly played Sally Face together.

Two- bit LOVES buzz balls.

Johnny was also a FNAF kid but he was there more so for the lore. He was also a Gacha kid

Whenever Dallas lets his New York accent slip pony will respond with a newsies quote with the same accent. Dallas has beaten him.

Ponyboy and Mark argue over if Tony deserved to die in west side story. Mark is no pony is yes.

Soda has watched mean girls so many times.

Curly is such a buzz kill when it comes to musicals. Pony and mark could be vibing and hes giving them the dirtiest looks.

As stated before pony does not have his phone a lot so dont even ask him about streaks. His longest was two weeks.

Darry hates brain rot. Literally gave pony an entire lecture about proper words and appropriate meanings ifor an hours. He said chud.

Pony also has parental locks on his phone.

Halloween, they are stealing his candy behind his back, all night, weeks after. They don't care.

convincing him he was adopted when he was like five because they both take after one parent while pony has green eyes and auburn hair they don't have. Pony cried for hours.

Telling him they get first dibs on everything because they're older. This was a real issue with the tv.

And hell the gang would do it to.

And then one day the baby brother isnt a baby anymore and he's a full grown adult who doesn't live with them or have to listen to their rules and suddenly they want to let him have first dibs on what to watch.

Want him to go trick or treating and get to enjoy his own candy.

Wish he was still too young to be considered old enough to know everything.

It's so silly to me that Randy's actor is Darry's canon height, 6'2, and Patrick Swayze was only 5'10. I believe. This just makes me giggle because if you adapt that height to the books where Darrel is 6'2 and Randy is four inches taller that means Randy would be 6'6. So pony just has a tank built older brother and a crazy tall boyfriend.

But also I love to imagine what the gangs face would look like when Darry was the biggest guy in their lives and then all of a sudden here comes bigfoot hand and hand with Pony.

So I kinda forgot about my horror thing AU but bringing it back.

So as I said it basically feeds off of despair and will create the perfect events to feed itself. Aka the deaths of the Curtis parents, Johnny, and Dally.

After all this Pony obviously isn't doing to well. The thing on the other hand is doing great. And it's because of ponys constant state of misery.

So of youve ever watch the paranormal activity movies. You know where this is going. The thing is going ape shit in the house. But it's doing it in a way that it's presence is known, but not the conjuring obviously.

It slams doors out in the opens. You can hear it walking at night on the walls, ceiling, floor. The roof sometimes if it's really late.

And now Darrel and Soda are experiencing it and one morning they're talking about it and ponys like: huh? Oh you guys get it too now. Thats new.

Soda and Darry were not amused. But also freaking out because now the thing they turned a blind eye to for over a decade is now starring at the faces and they cant ignore it.

And what makes it worse is Darrel mentions it to Tim in passing one time and Tim goes really quiet before: well... Curly did say one time he woke up to a strange thing in the closet while sharing a bed with Pony. Said it wasnt human or something.

Now Darrels having to grapple the fact that yeah, everyone fucking knew and not a single person did anything about it. And it's definitely targeting Pony and he doesn't know what to do.

First, pony would not say a word about Randy to any of them until they're official because they would all try to talk him out of it.

Curly would be pissed because if one soc wasn't already more than enough now he's bringing in another one. Who Curly has probably fought before tbh.

Mark and Scout might not know who he is. But they sure as hell aren't happy about it at first. They are waiting for him to slip up so they can tell pony to break up with him. He's too preppy for their liking. And then mark realizing he's the hippie that picked him and Bryon up from the hospital and tones it back.

Cherry is tired of this motherfucker. First he was her ex's best friend, then he was dating her best friend, now he's dating her boy best friend. Randy pack it up. He's seriously doing too much. But she is a little happy to have another soc in the group so everyone's not mooching off her all the time now.

M&M did not care. He just saw a fellow hippie and someone to bye him comics and candy. Because pony is basically m&ms brother and Randy was treating him as such. Thats a win in his book.

Bryon was weirded the fuck out. Ponyboy dating a soc/hippie? When he had Angela on his tail? He doesn't get the priorities but Randy's chill in his opinion.

Cathy likes that he's nice to M&M. Thats a win in her book.

So everyone knows how sometimes siblings will threaten to sell their younger sibling or even try too.

So imagine that but it actually works. Modern au but one day Mr. Curtis put up an add to buy some old furniture or something they had and Soda saw it. So he got the bright idea and just copied the format but for pony and hes like, cash upfront. A pony for a pony. (Soda really wanted Mickey mouse.) Address and everything. Even the cutest picture of little pony.

(Soda thought he was selling pony for like a day or something, basically renting it. And then pony would just get a all about me day with the stranger.)

And because the internets weird someone actually took the offer and some stranger. Comes all the way to Tulsa from God knows where and when Mrs. Curtis opens the door it goes like.

Stranger hands money over: heres the money, wheres the kid?

Mrs. Curtis: Do you mean the couch?

Stranger: No, the kid. Pony.

Mrs. Curtis: ... DARREL!

Randy during his hippie phase was very careful when it came substances. Especially in the case of Rodeo because as many people said Pony clearly has highly addictive genes and a drug addiction is a very possible outcome for him.

But as Randy was a hippie and had most likely been around a lot of hippies who knows what he could have seen, probably a lot more cases of M&M than he would have liked to see.

And after everything that happened, almost taking Ponys life in the fountain, Randy would be very proctive with pony. He feels like he owes him that. And while he won't stop his boyfriend from doing shit because that would be hypocritical he would have a cut off for him and pony and would make sure pony doesn't take anymore than enough to get him high off of whatever's hes on.

and once pony starts taking things too far and starts wanting more after a building tolerance that's when Randy gets scared and pulls them both out.

Thats why I said Randy's hippie era was a phase. Yes he was trying to find himself but I dont think he could play so fast and lose with his and ponys lives like that. And pony is not a very easy person and if you tell him he can't do something youre doing he will not take it well so Randy knew he had to get out of it.

Pony and Randy get culture shock from each other all the time. The most notable is when Randy explains why socs still talk to people they don't like for the alliances and appearances and pony is confused af on why he should ever be bothered forcing a relationship when theres mutual dislike.

Pony: So... You both hate each other. But you hang out because your parents want you to?

Randy: Well yeah. Think of it like your track team. You may not like everybody on it but you have to get along to win.

Pony: I don't even know half their names.

Randy: Darling...no.

Randy loves pony he really does but when pony was learning to drive pony asked to take Randy's mustang for a spin and he said "FUCK NO!"

Randy is really into science and he's one of those people who collects bugs. Pony thinks they are really cool but doesn't care about the science behind it. The one thing Pony can't stand behind is the roaches Randy also breeds. They're to feed the other animals. They sit in a huge tub with a clear lid and they are very loud. Thats another reason Pony doesn't sleep in Randy's room. The love seat is his everything.
