I was looking at Arnessa's Sims Wiki page and noticed this part:
Now I would like to try to give you an explanation (which I think is logical) of what happened and how things are:
Before Royalty & Legacy, Queen Thebe and Princess Cordelia were two different sims.
In My Wedding Stories EA alluded to Arnessa Thebe being a descendant of Princess Cordelia, but didn't specify how until one of the secrets revealed that she was the niece of Queen and Eetion Thebe.
Which is impossible because in The Sims 2 neither Queen nor Eetion have siblings, this alluded to the fact that Queen had a sister who would be added in The Sims 4 lore and probably from that sister would have originated the entire lineage up to Arnessa. That sister could even have been Princess Cordelia herself.
But suddenly in Royalty & Legacy Arnessa is no longer the niece of Queen and Eetion, and it is here that we discover something very important: Princess Cordelia and Queen Thebe are the same person, and there is no sister. Suddenly, in the lore, Princess Cordelia Thebe who is at the same time Queen Thebe, has become Arnessa's great-grandmother, but how is this justified?
It's simple. Do you know which dynastic line Arnessa descends from? Arnessa descends from Rodrigo De Pablo.
In the beginning, among Princess Cordelia's many pirate boyfriends, she had one whom she loved more than all, although in the end she married Eetion.
Princess Cordelia had three children by three different fathers:
Andromache Thebe from Eetion (Consort's mother)
Cordelia II from the pirate John Wilson
Aaaand...Rodrigo Thebe from Rodrigo De Pablo.
So you might say, "But why Rodrigo Thebe?
The description of the Laurent house (Arnessa's family) says: "
"Thebe Estate is one of Porto Luminoso's historical buildings—its origins are draped in rumor and are often gossiped about by curious locals. The Thebe family, now the Laurents, have lived here for generations as noted by their fine collection of family heirlooms."
Then, a new sim who doesn't appear in MWS even though he is mentioned there, has this description: "Rodrigo Thebe is the child of Cordelia Thebe and the person responsible for the construction of Thebe Estate. This is revealed to the player through the responses Camille Soto provides in her Gravevine Gossip interaction. He returned to Tartosa twenty years after Cordelia's departure. He claimed his father died in Tartosa, who could potentially be Rodrigo De Pablo, as he did not leave Tartosa with Cordelia and shares his namesake."
Putting 2+2 together, it becomes clear at this point that Rodrigo Thebe is an ancestor of Arnessa. But...at this point you're probably wondering, how? And how do you make all this work? How could Cordelia Thebe I be Arnessa's great-grandmother IF Rodrigo Thebe is the son? Arnessa cannot be Rodrigo's daughter, otherwise Cordelia Thebe would simply be her grandmother.
Well...just try to imagine that Rodrigo Thebe is her maternal grandfather, like this.
