*** UPDATE ON ROFCON: PLEASE READ *** Its been almost 24 hours since I discussed the situation pertaining what happened during ROFCON over the weekend and the amount of responses were more than I imagined. Someone has personally contacted me and said that the situation is being investigated and will be sure to never happen again at any future conventions. Whatever is being discussed is not to my knowledge and have no clue what the final say will be. I know this situation has changed the feelings of those who now have no intention of attending in the future, however, I do want you all to know my post was not to bash the convention in any shape or form. Whether you all choose to continue to attend ROFCON or any local convention in the future is completely YOUR choice. I'm not afraid to speak up about an issue, unnoticed or not, and I won't hesitate to do so. I greatly appreciate everything that you all did to bring attention to this situation whether it was sharing the post around on here, Tumblr, and Twitter or contacting the convention staff via e-mail. It's amazing to see how much of an impact an individual or group of people can have when they let their voice(s) be heard.
So at ROFCon...
I started a "Con Divorce"(?)...
I started to waltz with a friend of mine who was cosplaying a very well pulled off Kirito. He and another friend of ours who was cosplaying a dead naruto character (She had an awesomely pulled off hole in her stomach and fake blood on her neck. Also please excuse the fact that I haven't watched it yet qq. I'll get around to it. For now I will call her Naruto Girl.) started to "argue" about how Naruto Girl was all over a Soul cosplayer (Soul Eater) and Kirito was waltzing with me. I of course was cosplaying "Generic Soldier #5" aka "Kit" who is a small, bouncy, and timid character. I acted all nervous and said "W-Well I just wanted to waltz and he was right..." there and then somehow after the conversation and stuff Naruto Girl ended up (while in character) hitting on me. Not really. But Acting. I continued my nervous adittude and hid behind my other friend who was cosplaying Kevin (NightVale?). He successfully distracted Naruto Girl and I then hid behind Kirito. Then more shenanigans followed and then I had to leave. All in All. Be careful who you waltz with and...Conventions are fun. Yup.
