did you find any resistance at star wars when you told them you wanted one of your characters to be gay or were they totally cool with it?
Nope, none at all.
I did have a brief discussion with the copy editor about the non-binary character, but that was mostly to ensure consistency. I employed singular they throughout (mostly referring to stormtroopers), but with the Black Sun Agent, we wanted to be particularly clear.
