Headcanon: during the war, when Ahsoka had trouble falling asleep, she would holochat Barriss, who would always insist that she had already been awake, even if the call had woken her up in the middle of the night, because talking with Ahsoka made Barriss feel just a tiny bit better about her life, and so it was worth losing sleep.

After leaving the order, Ahsoka spent many nights without sleep.

barrissoka endgame to me (in canon or in my au) is unmarried-for-philosophical-reasons monogamous life partners, no kids, one shared padawan between them (sabine in canon, my oc shorne in my au), and probably at least one tooka. in canon they definitely each talk each other up as great jedi while simultaneously denying that they themselves are a jedi. no one except for them really understands their relationship dynamic and that’s fine by them

canon compliant barrissoka is such an interesting dynamic to me because like. yeah you betrayed me and kind of ruined my life, all to make a point that was never going to actually change anything, but also both the life you ruined for me and the thing you were trying to protest no longer exist and we’re both kind of in the same boat now, also you were kind of right even if you missed the forest for the trees, so uh… we should make out about it probably

we are approaching the point in star wars canon where there is only so long they can go before the great yuri explosion. we have them boxed in. barriss offee wanting to meet with an old friend + ahsoka + shin and sabine in the same room + asajj ventress death retconned + andor yuri brigade single and ready to mingle + bo katan at a loose end why not send her to yuri planet. dave filoni is frantically trying to dewoke ahsoka season 2 as we speak but even he knows its already too late. yuri vanguard marches at dawn. there is no escape
