Day 10 - Pattern.
Entry #5: Prank
If you or your loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to financial compensation
Dear Rothe,
I pray this letter finds its way to you. I have not much time left in this world, because I have caught that most dreadful sickness: Everything-itis. I am sneezing and coughing and also I have a raging ragging really bad fever. I threw up last night and it glowed in the dark?
It is bad.
So per my last wish I would like to request 50 egg sandwiches.
Yours,
Yun Khhhhhhh
“Give me that pen!” shouted Rothe Aubrey.
“No!”
“You’re not even sick, Yun!”
“Stop!”
"10. Who’s in charge of that?" - Aoife to Yun
“Who’s in charge of that?” asked Aoife Mahsa.
There was a small crowd gathering by the docks at Aleport, and they were dropping coins into a battered sunhat. Hanging above the crowd between a streetlamp and a stepladder was a banner reading “VOLUNTEERS FOR THE FIRST EXPEDITION OF S.S. ULTRA MEGA TURBO DEEP SEA EXPLORER 2: WARE THE GIANT CANNON YE DENIZENS OF THE ABYSS! 50 GIL PER PERSON! FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!”
“Me, myself, and I,” answered Yun.
There, moored to the docks, was a round yellow submarine with a hatch, a single porthole, a periscope, and a Bertha cannon causing the whole thing to slightly tip. Aoife burst out laughing as the periscope wobbled and fell off the submarine into the water. L’lakshai, the head technician and lead engineer, stopped painting the submarine’s long name onto the side and cast a fishing line in to reel the periscope back up.
“I think you should add another five exclamation marks in the name,” said Yun. “You know. For emp-ha-sis.”
“Go bugger yourself. We’re nearly out of glow in the dark paint,” L’lakshai snapped.
“Glow in the dark? So are you going underwater to visit Leviathan?” said Aoife. “I think I might come along for that! But only if I get to fire the cannon.”
“Not exactly. This is a tactical vessel,” said Yun.
“A what now?”
Yun cleared her throat and began to explain as L’lakshai fixed the periscope back onto the submarine. “I intend to return to Othard soon. The situation there has begun to escalate for reasons I do not fully know or particularly care about, but I must prepare some way to ferry my tribesmen across the sea to Eorzea. If I used a boat, the imperials will blast us to bits, so we will go underwater with a submarine. Genius, no?”
Aoife snickered. “That sounds bloody stupid. So, do I get in through the hatch here?”
“Get to the back of the line.”
As Aoife walked off sulking, the first ten people piled into the submarine. L’lakshai slipped in to sail it, Yun closed the hatch after them, and the passengers began to mess with the Bertha cannon at once, swinging it in circles using the steering wheel within the vessel. Then Yun whistled for everyone’s attention.
“Behold! The first voyage of the S.S. Turbo Explorer or whatever begins now! They will return in fifteen minutes having witnessed the wonders of the sea from up close!”
Yun untied the rope and the submarine gurgled to life. The propellers spun frantically, and soon it began to sail away from the docks. The crowd cheered and shouted as it sank with a burst of bubbles.
They waited, and waited, and waited. Two hours later, a periscope floated to the surface.
“Well, it was just a test,” Yun told Aoife as bits of the submarine floated up and bobbed away.

Society produces rogues, and education makes one rogue cleverer than another.
- Oscar Wilde
What a damning thing to say about education!
Form Rousseau to Wilde, thinking, observing people have noticed the correlation between education and guile, craftiness, knavery, selfishness, and often sheer wickedness.
In Bangladesh, it is manifest where the evil lies - in the highest intellectual stratum of our society. Not one member of the articulate class denounces the current evil in the land, and many actually encourage it, astounding as it may sound.
The comparative advantage in roguery conferred by education is keenly appreciated by parents, who spend a fortune to procure one for their monsters-to-be. It is a competition to the bottom, a race for the sewers.
For the highly educated are the cleverest of them all.

On a dance floor with dark wood floor and dim light, alphas, omegas and betas; dancing with the slow rhythm of the accordion notes. With that delicate and slow music as a witness of the caresses and smiles that couples gave themselves.
