The flag of the Rohingyan people of Myanmar
from /r/vexillology Top comment: **Context on the people:** The Rohingya are one of the ethnic groups Myanmar is committing genocide against. They've never had human rights in the country, never been considered citizens, and never been able to access gov services or education even before the genocide began. While then official numbers online showed there were roughly 200,000 Rohingya in Myanmar, since the genocide began in 2014, there's about a million Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh alone. **The flag:** The Gold represents prosperity, green represents peace, and white, purity. The centrepiece is meant to be an ancient Rohingyan coin and in Arabic, it has the names of the Muslim [Four Righteous Caliphs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rashidun) around the outside of the square, with the [shahada](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahada) in the centre.
