Based on second movie, Kaguya did actually exist as an celestial being but it was then eaten by a demom (lol) so ‘Serenity’ could be a celestial being that has stories told about her powers, how she tries to help the common people during war, etc. if you want to go that route.

i was thinking about doing something in relation to the actual kaguya, because moon princess, & that’s straight to where my mind went, so this is actually super helpful, thank you ??
