When your party has come up with a shared code for “implied death threat”, you know you’re having a good-ass time
Oh no that character generator may have just spawned another character because I really need two flamboyant people:
flamboyant Elf Monk from the quality control for potion brewing association who believes trees can speak to them and them alone
But I just started writing dialogue at my sister in FB messages:
I feel like this may happen.
Help.
So recently some of my roleplay buddies came up with a Pale Jester AU for my portrayal of the Pale King,
and I literally cannot stop thinking about it.
I definitely want to do something with these later on- and I have a digital sketch I'd like to throw up- but here's a snacky.

So...we play a periodic one-shot Star Wars RPG game...and these comments after the game had me WHEEZING.
Luke: NOOOO, IT'S NOT TRUE!
Vader: No. No, it is true. We could go on Maury, get a DNA test if you want.
--------------------------------------------------
Player: Just use Palpatine as a generator to power Coruscant.
Palpatine: ...this is NOT what I meant when I said I wanted ultimate power.
Me: SUCK IT UP AND POWER THE PLANET, SHEEV.
--------------------------------------------------
Player: What would you call an exterminator for Geonosians?
Our DM: That's just the Empire.
--------------------------------------------------
Palpatine: Vader, stop being dramatic.
Me: *sputtering loudly* HE'S A SKYWALKER. THEY ARE DRAMATIC.
Tonight’s game was a little different but a lot of fun.
Right now our party has dwindled down to myself and one other guy. I’ve been trying to get my one coworker to play with us, but he’s only been able to make one game. The last couple weeks we haven’t been able to play. Bad weather, scheduling conflicts and the holiday. So I suggested playing tonight since we usually play Sundays.
Except the other guy couldn’t come due to it being his mother’s birthday and my coworker flaked again. So it was just me and the DM. Now we’re at a really important part in the story, a big fight’s about to happen and it’s not really something my character is prepared for. So the DM gave me a choice: continue the story on my own or we could do a one-off and explore my character's backstory as that was something we were going to do but due to actions of another player, we couldn't. I decided I wanted to have my character's story so we spent the next two hours roleplaying out an interaction between my character and the woman who raised her.
It was so much fun! I got to develop Nim more, got some nice info about her origins I didn't have before and got some lovely words of wisdom from my matron. Plus my DM let me know it's all in canon for my character and even permitted me to keep a couple of items that he said will become important later. On the one hand I'm a so happy I got to do some the story stuff with Nim I missed out on before and got to explore more of her character but on the other I'm a little sad we didn't progress the story much. Now I just need to figure out how I wanna incorporate what happened into her journal.
so okay, today in dnd we were supposed to have a nice short session to finish this arc and then figure out which plot hook we want to pursue next but we ended up having a massive fight in the game about some "arrows of good slaying" (lg paladin and ranger thought we should destroy them while cn bard and my Valdis the tn fighter thought we could just as well keep them) which escalated in borderline pvp when the ranger decided to start casting spells and the paladin had to grapple him and Valdis to get the situation under control it was Wild, y'all
