Beste Zangers (2019 season) is such a refreshing thing to watch, especially now that I understand what they’re saying *_*. How I wish we had positive music tv shows like this in here.

And of course, it’s always great to listen to Floor <3

Beste Zangers

Beste Zangers (English: The Best Singers (of the Netherlands)) is a Dutch reality television.

It is one of the best viewed and appreciated Dutch TV shows on public television.

In each series a number of well-known and less known performers alternate as the central artist who picks songs out of his/her own repertoire to be sung by the others. The original performer judges the "covers" of his songs done by the participants. The show format has since been used in other North-European countries: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania and Estonia.

This is a perfornance of Dutch Floor Jansen, pretty unknown so far in the Netherlands itself, but very famous in the international rock- and metal scene. 

She is touring around the world with her Finnish metalband Nightwish, one of world's biggest symphonic metal bands. (Metal is huge in Finland)

Of course these Dutch artists are not speaking Spanish, but they tried their best last week to sing Rolf Sanchez's songs.

Floor sang Qué Se Siente from Rolf Sanchez in her own (rock metal) way.

This is what she said about it:

"Tonight it was Rolf who took place on the sofa and who we sang for! Very challenging, his music is very far from what I have ever done, with so many new sounds. I enjoyed accepting the challenge and to get to know his amazing voice better in the process. Rolf, this one is for you and our Spanish speaking fans."

Dutch Henk Poort sings Noelia’ from Nino Bravo for Rolf Sanchez.

Henk Poort is a Dutch actor and singer, who mainly plays in operas and musicals.

Major roles include Erik (the Phantom) in the Dutch version The Phantom of the Opera and Jean Valjean in the first staging of the Dutch version of Les Misérables in the late 1990s.

He also sang as one of the "17 Valjeans" at Les Misérables: The Dream Cast in Concert. His most recent role was Tevye in Anatevka.

When you ask Rolf Sanchez about his youth in the Dominican Republic he immediately starts about his grandma. A woman that has been very important is his life.

When his family decided to move to the Netherlands for a better life his grandma stayed behind. Rolf still was in contact with her every day after that and spent every summer with her in the Dominican Republic.

Henk Poort decided to sing a aong for Rolf's grandma. A song she used to sing to Rolf a lot.

When Rolf realises he is going to sing this song he says (in Dutch): "Do you know that I never ever listened to this song anymore? I cannot, man"
