they didn’t understand that just because she loved rolf, didn’t mean she wanted “a more affectionate relationship,” as some had said when in reality they meant a more carnal relationship. affectionate didn’t mean sexual, it meant loving someone, caring for them. there was nothing wrong with their relationship when they loved each other beyond the need to show those who would never understand how they loved one another without “the fun part.”
