I'll see sea creatures for forever by Zeb Andrews It can still catch me by surprise at how quickly time can slip by and the days stitch together to form weeks or months. It has been about three weeks since I last posted an image to social media. I knew I'd be taking a few days off for a quick weekend trip but didn't anticipate that becoming a prolonged absence. Not that I have minded, either. I can go pretty easily for days or weeks without engaging with social media. It is easy to do when you don't miss it. Heh, but I can say that I cannot go that long without engaging in photography. More than a day or two and I definitely miss that. I also have only so much tolerance for gaps of time between coastal trips. I miss the ocean pretty quickly and fiercely. I continue to be grateful for living so close to so much coastline that I can point myself west in a vague and general direction and be assured I will end up somewhere that I would want to be, whether I knew where/what that was ahead of time or not. So this pinhole image is from a stroll of Rialto Beach toward Hole In The Wall. A couple images back in my feed I actually posted another photo of this rock formation, but from a very different angle. The first time I encountered I was very entertained by how much it looked like the maw of a massive sea creature rising from the depths. At least from this angle. Crescents and triangles by Zeb Andrews This is one of those images that came about thanks to a spontaneous, unplanned stop. I forget just what encouraged us to pull over at the end of Crescent Lake here. Maybe it was a restroom break, or maybe something needed to be dug out of the back of the car. Whatever the reason, once you've stopped you might as well wander a little and explore the unexpected place you find yourself in.
