i’m super surprised by how many of the less upbeat songs you chose in general, but i recognize that my taste always tends toward upbeat, this was the main difference in a lot of the ones i’d choose differently so i can’t even really judge them
there’s several points where the lack of attention to lyrics really shines through, like i wouldn’t pick differently, and i know they’re musically rly good, but i also know they’re pure nonsense, like girl almighty vs fool’s gold? hilarious to me
absolutely lost it when you said change your ticket vs illusion was a difficult pairing, and i was floored by what came out on top, but this bracket also doesn’t include magic from their second album so you haven’t heard it to know it’s essentially the same song, the entirety of this match-up blows my mind, as does how far illusion got, like deadass losing it

rock me making it to the end is so, so wild, i never in a million years saw that coming, i knew midnight memories would be top two and thought it would win, but i did not expect it to be up against rock me, the end result being essentially a tie is so wild
