NEW BLOG POST!!! So in this year of firsts; last night I took part in another first, my very first ROLLER DISCO!!! I had been putting it off, even though the rink is only 15 minutes away from me, I think it's been a question of confidence. A little over three months ago I could only just skate, and my confidence far outweighed my ability. Looking back, my fear of the roller disco was the speed of it all, the close skating, the exposure to something new. Really I suppose the fear was showing strangers my skating, for weeks now my freshmeat buddies have fallen together and I don't mind them seeing me crash out, but my pride held me back from showing my flaws in public, until last night. Under the protection of disco lights and with Rihanna and her 'Umbrella' on the sound system; I well and truly got my skate on.
