My new absolute Derby hero Smarty Pants. Now I'm going to get gushy here for a second. Being Dyspraxic and generally not neurologically typical when I am at training I get confused really easily. I love training and it is really important to me but my mind wanders, I don't understand a drill, I don't get what to do with my body and this makes me feel a bit shit. Smarty's training was so clear and well explained, I have never understood everything in a class in the way I did in hers. Yay for not feeling stupid. I *even* was gifted a new sisu mouthgaurd by a classmate for my contribution to a communication class! One of my coaches is going to her coaching seminar so I'm really excited about that too :)

Forward facing blocking class with Quadzilla. Awesome class even if I did get smashed in the throat with someone's shoulder, couldn't breathe and cried in the first 5 minutes. Quadzilla asked if I needed a medic and I just gasped, shook my head and gave him a thumbs up despite being on the floor. Derrrrp....Couldn't move my mouth properly for a day or so!
