Summary: It starts with a rumor, and, as always, it is fully Eurylochus’ fault. (It really fucking isn’t, but Odysseus isn’t thinking about that right now because that’s—complicated—and it’s always easier to blame everything on Eurylochus, anyway.) It ends with the consequences of his own actions—as always. (Damn—can’t pin that one on Eurylochus. Fuck.) Somewhere in between is the God of the Sea, who’s probably as tired of him as he is, so—at least they’re in the same boat, wave, sea, whatever, on that front. Wonderful.
