Trying to be perfect and make the world think we have it all together is totally exhausting at times. Especially this year it does not matter if things are always perfect. I would rather be calm, peaceful and happy and not have the holidays perfect than to rush around trying to be perfect so everyone would think I am Super Woman and be exhausted. One of the most memorable Thanksgivings I ever had my family was when we decided to go to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate. We had 2 members of the family pass away 2 weeks before the Thanksgiving holiday. I suggested we Mix It Up and do something different so it would not be so sad. Everyone but a few went along with the idea. We needed something that didn't stress us out and make us sad. I loved eating tacos and drinking margaritas and chips and salsa on Thanksgiving. Looking back we were laughing in the photos not looking sad. The negative ones got with the program and they loved it too. We had a great time with no cooking and no dishes to wash. It was about getting together as a family and that year we said tradition goes out the window. Look on the positive side of life and sometimes rules are suppose to be broken to give us time to breathe. Perfectionism breeds Stress....especially during holidays. Stop and breathe....Enjoy life and your loved ones. That is the most important part of the holidays. ~Debra~ #dailydosefromdebra #thanksgiving #rollwithitbaby #nostress#mixitup#haveamargarita #taco#mexicanfood #dontbesad https://www.instagram.com/p/CHD3gbmAevt/?igshid=1h22656uqanp6
