“Hey,” Nina said, a small smile on her face as she saw Roman. A part of her felt slightly embarrassed when she blurted out a couple of bids only to be on the losing end of it anyway, basically showing to everyone who was there that she was interested in Roman, but mostly, Nina found that she was just sad that she didn’t really get the opportunity to spend time with him -- which was pretty surprising. After all, all they did was just sleep with each other and that was that and that already gave them plenty of time to be with each other. “I tried,” she said with an almost shy chuckle. “But I just couldn’t top those bids,” Nina added, showing him a smile before handing over a beer. “Didn’t you you were so dang popular around here,” she teased him. “Mind sharin’ a beer with me, though, before the birthday girl whisks you away?”
