😲 SEBASTIAN IS LEFT-HANDED?!?!!?! 😍💖 A resounding fuck you to the dickwads in Romania who forced him to write with his right hand! They did that shit to my mom here in the 50s and 60s and that shit pisses me off to no end. I mean, yeah, it makes lefties ambidextrous, but it's still some serious BULLSHIT. There is nothing wrong with being left-handed, and lefties are often the most creative people in the world 😝

No wonder he loves to read and write and dance and listen to music and sing... Force a lefty to be righty all you want, but the right side of our brain (the creative side) is still dominant. The arts are everything. I've never met a lefty who wasn't creative af.

Sebastian Stan is perfect. Holy shit. He is fucking perfect. You don't even understand how much my attraction to a man skyrockets when I learn he's a lefty (thus my 16-year and counting obsession with Kim Heechul, another natural lefty forced to fake righty until he became ambidextrous)

Here We Are Again, Gente! It's Alec Media Monday

Today we have a Romanian interview by Ramona Raduly for Life.Ro and I find it a fascinating read for a few reasons.

Firstly, the interviewer is just a TAD salty, I thought. Maybe that is just how interviews are done in Romania? She does say he has a "beautiful face you can't miss," so obviously she appreciates him somewhat.

Secondly, the exchange about fame is so, like, SO Alec. She asks how it feels to be written about so beautifully in Variety and The Telegraph and he's all "I don't know how to capitalize on such things," and WE KNOW, QUERIDO, WE REALLY DO KNOW *cries* Anyroad lol.

Thirdly, he mentions having coffee with is mom, which is one of the few times he mentions much of his family at all. She is, apparently, also an engineer? Wow.

It's not long, this interview, and I have read it before. However, it has a particular energy that is different, like most interviews NOT from the UK or US have. I feel I get more of a feel for him as a person, as a Romanian, than in other articles.

Sebastian Stan interview in Romania 🇷🇴

Andreea Esca: Hello and welcome to the radio, for those who are not in the car listening at this hour but have access to a computer, you can see us on our website europafm.ro or on Andreeaesca.ro. Today I am inviting you into the world of the Romanian-American actor who is invited as a guest in Bucharest at the American independent film festival, who you probably know from many movies. Who am I talking about, you are going to find out.

The introduction of Sebastian on the radio

A.E: The actor, Sebastian Stan is my guest today, I discovered him in the tv show Gossip Girl and mi children in Captain America, because hi is the good friend Bucky, hi Sebastian.

Sebastian: Hi, thank you, thank you.

Andreea: Have you got to sleep a bit?

Sebastian: Yeah, about 3-4 hours.

Andreea: Aha, and this morning you got busy already...

Sebastian: Yeah I had a meeting with Our Big Day Out ( a foundation he really supports), they are watching Civil War at the cinema right now.

Andreea: A lot of children ar waiting for you there.

Sebastian: Yeah, about 300-400 children.

Andreea: You speak very good romanian for someone who left Romania when he was 8.

Sebastian: We are going to see, maybe I am going to struggle but I am going to try.... Yeah it’s true, I lest at 8 I did not have to many people to talk to except for my mom.

Andreea: and when you get there you want to speak very good English for people to understand you.

Sebastian: Yeah, you want to speak English very good and you don’t want to be different at that...

Andreea: ... age

Sebastian: Yeah, at 9-10, I mean, I was in Vienna at that time and after that I came to US at 12 and yeah I struggled for a while because I didn’t want to speak English with an accent.

Andreea: you did it.

Sebastian: yeah but sometimes it comes out, let’s see what they say after I came back after this trip...( laughing)

Andreea: If you stay here 3 more days you are going to speak very good Romanian. We presented you the best we could but we have a segment in our show they is called autobiography in 20 second ....

Sebastian: Ok

Andreea: you are going to hear a timer and you have to say something about you whatever you want

Sebastian: ooo ok, I am a man from Romania, who returned after a long time, lived in US, yeah I am a bit American, a bit Romanian, I have a lot af thing to do on this earth and I don’t know how much time I have but we are going to see what is going to happen ammmm...

Andreea: and a bit of an actor ...

Sebastian: a bit of an actor...

Andreea: you did it

Sebastian: yeah but not that good ( laughing)

Andreea: You have to know that every story starts from childhood so can you tell me were you born? Exactly in Constanta?

Sebastian: I was born in Constanta on Cismelor street...

Andreea: hmmm

Sebastian: yeah that’s it, that is were I grew up in Constanta and Mamaia, I was everywhere in Mamaia from what I remember, and also I went with my mom at the nude beach

Andreea: nude beaches?

Sebastian: exactly.... laughing

Andreea: and are you steel going?

Sebastian: no no I haven’t been in a long time but now would be good to go because it’s Mamaia’s weekend

Andreea: exactly it’s Mamaia’s weekend and you are in Bucharest, I don’t know what are doing here, whatever, you are on the radio... how was the day you were born, has your mother told you?

Sebastian: hmm no, I think it was 5 in the afternoon when I was born and my mom was thinking, you know how it is, what should I eat, how much would I sleep but nothing much

Andreea: how was the neighborhood you grew up in, were ther a lot of kids?

Sebastian: no, I had 2 friends and that was that, I mean I was going to school and after that all afternoon we were outside playing as much as we could and that I woul to up ( referring to the apartment building he was staying in)

Andreea: you were living in an apartment building?

Sebastian: yeah, and than it was the news at night because that was the only thing on tv, from what I can remember and cartoons on New Years

Andreea: yeah you told me that you used to watch the show on New Years on tv

Sebastian: yes yes, this is something very European because in America New Years is not that big of a deal

Andreea: I was one year there to celebrate and I was very disappointed because at midnight everybody was going home

Sebastian: yeah well here we grew up with the fact that is it’s New Years you have to do something, to party...

Andreea: yeah well after I went to a grec party to celebrate

Sebastian: ooo perfect

Andreea: yeah I’d you want to celebrate New Years you have to go somewhere like Qeens

Sebastian: yeah and also Romanian restaurants

Andreea: so apartment building?

Sebastian: yeah and also I was talking with someone about the earthquakes because I felt some of them

Andreea: you left afte the revolution

Sebastian: yeah I left in 1989-1990 and there were a couple of them before

Andreea: yeah there was one 1977 that you did not felt because you were born in 1982 but it was one after that in 1980s something

Sebastian: yeah because we were at the top floor and I felt it

Andreea: were you a good child or you misbehaved?

Sebastian: when I was young I would always scratch myself, dancing, jumping, at some point I hit a mirror, almost fell on me, I mean, my mom....

Andreea: you were activ

Sebastian: I had a lot of energy, my mom was always scared of something happening, “ be careful Sebastian “ , “ pay attention Sebastian” , “ don’t go there”

Andreea: one of your parents was more strict?

Sebastian: no I mean my mom, maybe, and maybe my grandparents because I grew with them too, they were more strict but not that much ...... my grandma I remember one time she wasted my trousers and I went out and someone got some dust, mut on them and I had a fight with that kid ,” my grandma just washed my trousers “.

Andreea: your grandma was very special to you, was she?

Sebastian: yeah she was someone how was in my heart for a long time until the end, yeah

Andreea: and do you remember something that she did or taught you?

Sebastian: when, potatoes, when she would put potatoes around my neck when I was sick, and onions and vinegar in my sacks.. laughing

Andreea: do you still do it now?

Sebastian: no no

Andreea: it might be better still

Sebastian: exactly, much better than the medical care from US

Andreea: what is the first memory that you have with your parents?

Sebastian: hmmm.... I have some videos that I am going to send it to you after this and explain about it, I don’t know ever since I was a child I wanted to impersonate other people and my mom and my grandparents work always want me to do it and after that when I was in Vienna my mom woul always try and send me to casting calls

Andreea: maybe she saw that you were talented

Sebastian: she saw that but she didn’t wanted to push me to hard and that was very important because I didn’t like it as much at the time, I was very shy, not with them but with people that I never interacted with before

Andreea: and at school were you interested?

Sebastian: at school I started to write left handed but they did not let me , they told me only with the right hand

Andreea: well you did start school in Romania

I just watched the interview and I feel such peace. That was lovely. Oh goodness. He's so attractive when he talks and that language is so beautiful. The clips/pictures of his past work and interviews and comic cons etc. were so point you would think one of us put them together. Loved absolutely everything about it.
