Honestly I loved writing this these two are so wholesome
Here’s to one of my favorite dynamic duos in Awakening who SHOULD have gotten supports!

Sumia: Oh, no; the Captain’s going to KILL me…
Vaike: Hey, Sumes! What’s up?
Sumia: Oh, Vaike, thank goodness you’re here! Can you please help me?
Sumia: I was supposed to polish all of these blades, but I dropped them all in the mud on the way to the armory!
Sumia: Chrom’s going to be so disappointed. I was so sure I could do it without messing up this time…
Vaike: Don’t beat yourself up over it, Sumes! We all make mistakes sometimes.
Sumia: Or in my case, every five minutes.
Vaike: Now that’s no way to talk!
Vaike: Listen, I’ll help you clean all of these up, okay?
Vaike: If we both work at it, we’ll get it done lickety-split!
Sumia: Oh, thank you, Vaike! I don’t know how I’ll ever repay you.
Vaike: No need for that! The Vaike ALWAYS helps his friends in times of need.
Vaike: Welp, let’s get these swords cleaned so we can get back to stabbing people!
Sumia: Oh, goodness, that book is so high up! I’m not sure I can reach it.
Sumia: Mayyybe if I climb on the shelves… if I can just…
Vaike: Hey! What was that?!
Vaike: Sumia! Are you okay?
Vaike: Here, let me help you up.
Vaike: You really did a number on those bookshelves, huh?
Sumia: O-oh, I broke them. They’re completely ruined.
Sumia: I can’t believe I messed up again…
Vaike: Sumes? Are you sure you’re okay?
Sumia: Oh, Vaike, how am I supposed to be a member of this army if I keep destroying everything I touch?
Sumia: I’m the most useless Shepherd there is. I should just quit while I’m ahead…
Vaike: Sumia! That’s no way to talk.
Vaike: Listen, Sumes; this is just a bookshelf. They’re a dime a dozen! We could just BUILD a new one.
Vaike But there’s no other Sumia. If you leave, we can’t replace you.
Vaike: You’re not as useless as you think you are. But if that’s what you keep telling yourself, eventually that’s all you’ll believe!
Vaike: You just gotta remember that you have friends here who believe in you! Including yours truly.
Sumia: Vaike, do you really mean that?
Vaike: ‘Course I do! You’re my friend, Sumia.
Vaike: And the Vaike cares for all of his friends!
Vaike: Even if they can’t see how awesome they really are.
Sumia: Aw, Vaike, that means so much to me.
Vaike: Here— let’s get all of this put back before Avatar finds out.
Sumia: You don’t have to do that! You’ve already helped me so much.
Vaike: Hey, don’t sweat it! What’re friends for?
Vaike: Oh geez, you’ve really done it now, Teach.
Sumia: Vaike? What are you doing out here so late?
Vaike: Sumia! When did you get here?!
Sumia: These are the stables, Vaike. I’m a pegasus knight.
Sumia: What’s wrong, Vaike? You seem on edge.
Sumia: Don’t worry, Vaike, you can tell me anything. We’re friends, remember?
Vaike: Earlier, Chrom asked me to do something important—
Vaike: I was supposed to take a package to Avatar, but I kinda, sorta…
Sumia: Oh, Vaike, you were embarrassed to tell me that?
Sumia: I of all people would understand.
Vaike: Yeah, but as much as I hate to admit it, I mess up all the time.
Vaike: I may act confident, but I’m well aware that I’m not the sharpest sword in the Risen.
Vaike: If I can’t even remember where I put a package, or, hell, to bring my AXE to battle, what good am I?
Sumia: Hm. You know, this sounds really familiar.
Sumia: But you know what? A good friend of mine gave me some good advice once:
Sumia: If you keep telling yourself you’re useless, that’s all you’ll be.
Sumia: But if you remember you have friends who believe in you— including me!
Sumia: Vaike, you’ve helped me SO much. You always help me build up my confidence when I’m down.
Sumia: It’s the least I can do to return the favor!
Sumia: You taught me a valuable lesson— and now, I’m teaching you the same!
Vaike: Huh! Who would’ve thunk that one day TEACH would be the TEACHEE?
Sumia: You mean ‘student’?
Vaike: Yeah, sure, whatever floats your warship.
Sumia: And hey, you know what? I think I saw a package in the barracks a while ago! Maybe that’s the one you lost!
Vaike: Yeah! I must have left it in there when I was looking for my axe again!
Vaike: Er, you didn’t hear that.
Sumia: Come on— let’s go look for it together!
Vaike: Okay! Thanks a million, Sumes!
Sumia: Oh, and Vaike? Thanks for always being such a good friend.
Vaike: Har har! Right back at ya, Sumia.
Sumia: Hey, Vaike, can I talk to you for a minute?
Vaike: Sure thing! The Vaike always has time for you.
Sumia: That’s such a relief to hear.
Vaike: Huh? Is something wrong?
Sumia: Oh— No! Nothing like that.
Sumia: I just wanted to thank you. For always being such a good friend to me.
Sumia: You’re always so nice to me… and you listen to me and understand how I feel.
Sumia: You always lift me up when I feel down, lend me an ear when I need it, and sympathize with me…
Sumia: I don’t know what I could have done to deserve a friend like you.
Vaike: Aw, Sumia! You’ve always done the same for me.
Vaike: Even if you don’t believe me, just know that the Vaike believes in you.
Vaike: Heh, I never thought I’d say this, but I think I’ve found someone more number one than ME!
Vaike: You’re, like, my favorite person ever, and that’s even including myself!
Sumia: Do you really feel that way, Vaike?
Vaike: You’re the nicest, most wonderful person I’ve ever met.
Vaike: Maybe that’s why I love you so much!
Sumia: L-Love me?! Vaike, what are you saying?
Vaike: Sumia, I want to spend the rest of my life with you!
Vaike: Will make me the happiest man in the world and become Mrs. Teach?
Sumia: Vaike, I don’t know what to say…
Sumia: Just knowing that someone as amazing as you loves me makes me happier than you could ever know!
Vaike: Um… so, is that a yes, or—?
Sumia: The answer is yes, Vaike; a million times yes!
Sumia: Oh, gods, I never dreamed that this day would come!
Vaike: Alright! Teach is tyin’ the knot!
Vaike: Baby, I’m gonna spend the rest of our lives making sure you’re as loved and appreciated as you deserve to be!
Sumia: Oh, Vaike; you already have!
