Leaving the Hive wasn’t a priority, there was nothing outside of this city that Kingu cared for or wanted; at least here he was still alive. Of course, having a functional body meant having time to think about everything he’d pushed aside before, and that wasn’t something he looked forward to. Nevertheless, he was relatively thankful to draw breath again. Just a little. He had to keep himself busy somehow, and gathering information sounded like the best option. After all, he had yet to understand many things about this place.
It happened as he explored; a voice that was just vaguely familiar reached his ears and actually made him look around. That irritating, worrying, voice that had pestered him back in the forest when the Chaldeans first tried to reach Uruk. It took a moment, but Kingu found the source in the form of a light-haired man. He looks as unsuspecting as he had imagined the Chaldea bunch back then, it’s rather amusing. He briefly wonders if they are still as careless.
There’s a sudden thought, one he’s not certain why he’s entertaining, but he played along with it. It could be beneficial if the man had some new information to share. If not, then there was at least an opportunity for him to distract himself. It’s a gamble, it might not work, but there’s nothing to waste except time.
What had they called him back then…? “Doctor?” His voice has shifted, lacking its mocking tone and instead calling out softly, levelled. “You are here, as well?”
