#romeoakbarwalter #jhonabraham #raw I would definitely recommend this movie..A mustwatch! The honesty in the story and sincerity in the acting touches you. The at direction is perfect.. Transports you back to the 70's. John is fabulous in his emotions, Jackie very suave, Sikandar nailed the accent, and of course the acting by Raghuveer Yadav and Anil George are commendable. Even the smallest of roles , the beggar for instance, are superbly taken care of and well directed. The first half is slow paced, but is perfect to establish the characters and second half keeps you on the edge of your seats. Mouni's character doesn't work in the film. The director has done a great work... The film evokes patriotic feeling and touches you. It gives you an insight on how the RAW agents work...salutes to them. Romeo Akbar Walter is John Abraham's RAWzii! Pun apart, the film is intriguing in parts but I was expecting an edge of the seat thriller from Robbie Grewal. Years back, he remade Se7en as Samay with a female protagonist and had us hooked. RAW though isn't as convincing as it should be..Things change as per convenience and a lot of it feels staged. For an espionage thriller to work, one needs to be invested in the story. Sadly I couldn't connect with RAW. But what do I say about John Abraham. He is picking up roles that are bringing out the actor within him. If Parmanu was all about a group mission, here he goes solo. Jackie Shroff as the RAW chief is bloody good. Rajesh Shringarpore as his deputy is also top notch. Mouni Roy has very little to do. SiKander Kher as a Pakistani Army officer is bloody brilliant. Anil George as John's mentor is also convincing. So the performances are all there. It's the story that needed more meat. Although the end wherein the director tries to stitch up the loose ends is commendable. It leaves you with a good feeling. RAW is a film that shows us once again John's dedication and growth as a performer. As a patriotic film, it doesn't match up. . .
