I decided to make a digital reference picture of my shadow folks! From left to right it's: Stefania, Gattina, and Romeo(w)!

Character descriptions under the cut!

Romeo(w) (Right)

A very anxiety-ridden Shadowguy, who was very suddenly promoted from janitor to accountant. The stressful nature of his job causes him to be kind of skittish and jump at the smallest things due to a lack of sleep. His primary focus as of right now is to make sure Tenna and his show doesn’t go insanely out of budget and make the entire studio crash and burn. 

He is currently divorced, and the primary caretaker of his only daughter, Gattina. He tries not to let the stresses of his job affect his home life and her. When he’s not working and with his kid, he’s a lot more cheerful and smile-y. He’s sure to make time to play with her and help her with her needs.

As a Guy(™) who exists in shadow society and interacts with fellow Shadowguys(™), he’s pretty friendly, and tries to help the others to the best of his ability, despite his mountains of work piled in front of him. He has little nervous tics, like adjusting his sleeves or idly clicking his pen or tapping his fingers on a table/wall. More often than not when you try to hold a conversation with him, he’ll start to doze off. This isn’t him being rude, rather he is running on like 3 hours of sleep. Someone give this man a blanket and pillow now!!

Stefania (Left)

A famous actress Shadowlady, who is constantly working on movies and shows, particularly in 40s-50s-esque black-and-white crime dramas. Revered for her beauty and acting talent, she finds herself craving the attention of the spotlight, fans, press, and all of that. Quite the diva too. 

Somehow bags this sad meow meow (in the most literal sense) and has a daughter with him. A little later, they divorced. It wasn’t on bad terms, it’s just that their lifestyles are vastly different and it’s hard to maintain a relationship like this. Unfortunately, compared to Romeo, she’s not as actively involved with her daughter’s upbringing as he is, but she’ll occasionally spoil her from time to time with nice clothes, toys, etc. 

Interacting with her, she’s very aware of her status as a movie/TV star, and holds herself to that standard. Very elegant, classy, always with a smoking pipe in hand. She talks smoothly and with confidence, and she’ll occasionally gossip about other cast members.

Her voice sounds like a kalimba to me!

Gattina (Center)

The baby. The child. The lil’ one. The

Gattina is a young Shadowling who hasn’t quite figured out how to manipulate her shadow form yet, so as of right now, she’s kind of just a standing cat. She’s always a beaming child, happy and carefree. She’s too young to understand the divorce itself, so she’s just a little confused as to why she doesn’t see her mother as much anymore.

When her father is at work, she usually hangs out at the costume department with the staff there, as a sort of daycare for her. They make sure she’s kept busy and fed, and she gets to dress up in stuff as a bonus! When her father isn’t working, she’s attached at the leg and asking lots of questions about his work and when he’ll be ready to play with her. Before he leaves for work, she ties a suit tie to his tail for good luck. 

When you interact with Gattina, she’s actually pretty shy. She doesn’t do well with people she doesn’t know that well, but once she’s more accustomed to your presence, she’s a little ball of joy that’ll be asking you to play with her and look at her drawings. She might also try to use you to get some milk/cream based desserts (the buffet table is too high for her to reach).

Made this a month back but forgot to post them on here.

First off: Meet Primrose, a recurring rival character for Florabelle. She’s cruel, vain, has a knack for gossip and always finds a way to spy on people. She believes everything at face value and is extremely suspicious of everyone whom she chooses not to like. Primrose also runs an alpha league of gardeners who are all vying to topple Florabelle’s position as the best gardener in all of Prettiopia.

The other two characters are for a different story in Star Cross Warriors:

Meet Cherry Jubilee, Prettiopia’s self help guru and is in charge of giving hugs and emotional support to any Prettiopian in need. And recently she’s been tasked to be Parfait’s counsellor about her self-esteem issues. However, Cherry has more problems with her own self esteem than she thinks. You see, she is a firm believer of fixing anyone. Even when it comes to romance. And that’s when Romeow, the grizzled bad boy who hails from the wilderness, comes in. The two met when Cherry was on a trip and they quickly became a celebrity couple in Prettiopia. Despite how mean Romeow may seem, Cherry believes there’s good in him and wants to fix him. However she learns the hard way that you can’t fix your partner to be a better person.

Romeow pretends to be charming and friendly in public. But not only is he cruel and controlling to Cherry in private, he constantly mocks her attitude and weight. It turns out he was only dating her to get to Parfait, as it’s revealed he was an assassin hired by someone (King Coupcake) to kill Parfait. He then orders her to be his accomplice and then leaves her for dead after she loses a battle with Parfait.

After Parfait and her friends encourage her to stand up for herself, Cherry manages to defeat her evil boyfriend and Romeow ends up stomped to death by Tombsteel. Finally free of her ex boyfriend’s control, Cherry decides to have a career change and become a doctor instead. She then goes on to establish Prettiopia’s first hospital. And yes, Cherry is a recurring character.
