Others give favourite snacks or drinks as courting gifts. Something small to show they can feed you and know you well enough to follow your preferences.

The first courting gift ghost gives you is multiple coolers full of deer meat. That he personally hunted and butchered, of course. The heart, you notice, already has a bite taken from it...

Others try to show-off to gain affection, usually in competition with others. Arm wrestling is popular, but on base sparring is a go-to. That, or drinking games.

Ghost....isn't allowed to do that after he "accidentally" put that one lieutenant trying to court you in the hospital. Now? You get USB drives full of his favourite bodycam clips from ops. Usually of his brutal hand-to-hand combat and guerilla warfare, but he once got you a 13 hour video of him sniping for you to "fall asleep to, lovie."

All that is to say, anytime you express dislike towards someone you need to quietly assure ghost you don't want them hurt in any way.

He just wants to impress you :((

Okay so I'm very happy we've unanimously decided that Ghost likes little bug. But this transfers over right. To mer Ghost. Mer Ghost loves shrimp and sea snails and sea slugs and crabs right

Mer ghost can't be live fed because he refuses to kill the lobsters or fish they put in his tank and simply keeps them as pets. They are absolutely adorable to him and whenever there's a new caretaker he grows fond of, his ultimate show of trust is showing you his pets.

If ghost lets you hold one? Congrats you're his primary caretaker now because it's obvious he would trust you with anything even giving him shots.

Oh and if there's a snail mer in the tank he feels much the same way but with an added sense of paternal feelings. :3c he is just a big softie who sometimes tries to drown the workers when he's overwhelmed

Sure, he uses your little crush against you, corners you against his desk and traps you in by leaning a hand on it. "Just change it to our account, love, chances are they rushed that report anyways."

"Uhm— I could check the other reports—" you offer, stumbling and squirming when he growls low in displeasure. "Ah— you're right, i know gaz spends so long making sure his work is right. I'll change it."

Okay im totally poaching this idea from @chronicgaywizard but, price takes the cuck chair willingly.

He's old, weary, can't be asked to fuck someone properly on his time off. No, he'd much rather prowl bars with his men and pick pretty things for them to fuck. Just another layer of control over his men. He's got a nice chair in the corner that he settles into, calling the shots or letting his boys lead if they've pleased him recently.

Even when the guys are looking for partners for themselves, they always pick with price in mind, knowing one way or another he'll be joining the bedroom too.

In the whole Dog!Ghost semantic field, do you think he resource guards? Wether it's food or weapons or spots he likes or even people?

Oh yeah, ghost resource guards even when he's just a straight up human, but it's always over the strangest things....

He doesn't actually mind if people take his food, given that its only you or the team taking it and he knows he can get more later. Hungry moments are no stranger to him, so he hardly even blinks when he's only eaten two crisps yet his plate is nearly empty.

But if you take the seat that he has arbitrarily decided is his? He will genuinely pull a knife. Has done so mutliple times and is the reason price has a long scar across his calf.

Taking the items he's customized, rifle, tac-vest, whatever, will get you shot. Yes, he's done it before. No, they did not survive.

Yes, he's resources guarding his teammates too. You can't count the number of times you've been talking to a coworker only for ghost to drape himself across your back and glare until the conversation ends. Honestly, it's kind of cute how jealous he gets, always wanting cuddle in supply closets afterwards.

i was rereading some of your omegaverse stuff, specifically the one w omega!reader having the nesting instincts of a rock and i feel that would also apply to ghost. maybe he likes making his nests in “hidden” areas like closets but then his actual nest is like. a blanket bunched up in the corner

Omega!ghost may genuinely have the worst nesting instincts of any omega you've met.

Oftentimes, when you and him are crawling through enemy territory, he'll offhandedly point at some place and say "perfect spot fo' a nest, sergeant."

Without fail, these "perfect spots" are random ass concrete stairs, a fallen and rotted tree, or on one occasion the inside of an industrial meat processing cooler. It all sets a pretty weird picture for what his actual nest is.

Still, nothing could have prepared you for the day he took you to his apartment.

Ghost has a bed, with a single blanket and pillow, but it smells of laundry detergent and dust. Definitely not a nest. No, the actual nest you find later in the night while searching for a spare blanket because christ his apartment is cold.

That's when you see it, the smell of a distinctly happy omega removes all doubt that this is the nest.

Two knives and a rifle. Just. Sitting on the floor of the closet.

You try to imagine ghost squeezing in, he'd have to tuck his feet a bit but it could work. More notably, this is one of the few times you've smelled his scent truly happy without any notes of anxiety.

You grab the blanket and pointedly don't comment on the nest.
